I forget to mention the local state attorney,
a titled guy and who drove a huge 1938 Horch that he had personally confiscated from the local Nazi bigwig on his way out.
He drove that car well into the seventies and was considered eccentric

where I grew up in the NL in a remote village we had one guy who drove a new Star Sapphire.
Also this lady who drove a 3 position Jaguar MK V DHC.
Another , a Lancia Aurelia OTS.
Quite a classy village , dad had a little Fiat
and tipped his cap to the owners of these cars. To me , sounds perfectly logical even today in 2009
