My whippet is 9 weeks today & she just learned to go down the stairs the day before yesterday. She has been practicing her climbing on the snow mounds in my drive way. She is absolutely wonderful. She learns so quickly. I use very little discipline and lots of praise. I have only had her for 9 days and I love watching her improve everyday.

To be honest; this is not funny at all. Especially in case of a Whippet pup it is irresponsible to let such a young animal walk the stairs.For two reasons.

The bones are still 'weak'. So walking the stairs may badly influence the growth. And ofcourse in case of an accident and fracture of the bones, the consequences are disasterous.
