  • Strengthen the spring?

  • dude i just installed such a safe in my house ... what should i do ?

    ANY IDEAS ?!?!?

  • this video saved my ass today cuz i locked the safe with the door open

and i kinda bounced into my dads safe so i had to close it xD

  • The Part with the Hammer is the best :-)

  • was it me or was the safe slowly sliding down the wall when you were smaking it with the hammer 2:07

  • OK,your DAMN "safe" isn't a safe !

  • Well I ain't buying that one from argos.

  • To all you misfits, scalawags and tubers. if you all are looking to buy a safe just ask me and I will help you find the perfect one and the right one/brand. As for I am a safe-technician and locksmith. unlike this one

  • my bro has a safe like that going to try kool video

  • very interesting

  • For those who don't mind a little DIY it should be possible to modify the mechanism to better resist this kind of attack (at least when bolted). Another kind of actuator. Modifying it with a damper etc. And putting in a felt wafer as a bare minimum should be quite easy. It's obvious what's happening. The knock goes directly to the actuator pin at it's top stop. Putting in a felt wafer will greatly reduce the force that gets transferred to the pin and so hardens this attack significantly.

  • @HifiCentret

the best way to prevent this is to not buy the cheapest safe off the shelf at wallmart.

  • Jezuz, safes can be bumped too! Why not just use stronger springs, add some shock absorbent liquid or change the design. Few people are safe in their own homes. Almost everyone I know gives me a blank look if I mention bumpkeys. Something really needs to be done.

  • Poor design flaw. 1st To avoid too much energy consumption on the battery, they selected a weak spring. 2nd, they choose a standard type solenoid, they almost all have short pin. The pin travel would have to be longer, so even in the case that the pin bounce, it wouldn't clear the passageway of the lock mechanism. 3rd, if the solenoid would be installed upside-down, the natural gravity would cause the pin to bounce a little more toward earth, hence toward lock passageway.

  • I love this stuff, people really do have a false security with any of these style boxes. If you want to keep your stuff safe then buy a real safe from a locksmith.

  • hahhahahaha, those are the safes in all the hotels in mexico and cuba!

  • @rakounov

    im not surprised...

  • that safe sucks. im lucky i dont have one, plus id rather make my own so i now its not some of made in china crap.

  • Was it ASSA Lock spray inside the safe? :)

  • Yes it was, nice observation

  • so are you basicly like bumping it ? :)

  • Yeah, but without a key

  • surely that is an electromagnet, you could just take off the number panel and apply electric current

  • Yes, it is an electromagnetic plunger. Sadly, the micro-controller on the board is not exposed to the outer side of the safe only the number pad portion of the circuit is, so it may just be easier to bump the plunger.

  • this safe is in hard candy(film) i also have one : )

  • You cannot polish a turd. The only way to upgrade these cheap boxes (they are not safes) is to buy an insurance rated KEY LOCKING safe. A big hammer of bar will get anyone into this safe quickly anyway.

  • actually drummernotstrummer you can polish a turd they did it on mythbusters

  • Sucks that people buy those pieces of shit. Very good English though, good video too. Thanks!

  • like key bumping, but only easier... maybe? OMG. bout the only way to make the safe resistent to that would be to have a stronger spring, and of corrse, corresponding stronger solenoid (SP?) to retract the bolt. Probobly mean you would need a car battery to open it... OMG. I hope mine does not do that.!!!

  • Interesting ideas! Yeah it is easier than bumping, no special key I needed to get it open, Thanks for watching!

  • fan va coolt :P

  • Tack! Funkar tyvärr på en massa små billigare kassaskåp. Så om du stöter på ett är det ju bara att testa (Om du får för ägaren av skåpet alltså "don´t break the law") hittills har jag öppnat 4 olika modeller!

  • Yeah do that! It works with a bunch of small inexpensive safes

  • nice video, think i have to try this :D
