@dkupke well it's actually something I got from a comic artist, but it sounds about right why he does. See most of the girls Superman can go for want he to go for them. However as Clark unlike Lana, Lois has kinda forced him to peruse. the thrill of the hunt so to speak. Like how a video game can have an easy, normal, and hard mode and despite it being the same goal at the end some players choose the hard mode for the challenge and feeling of conquest.

@KennethMoreland Well, in "The Demon Reborn", Batman saved Superman from having his energy absorbed into Raz Al Gaul. In "World's Finest" they saved each other, Batman with the Kryptonite and Superman with the giant robot and in "Knight Time", Superman saved Bruce from being killed by Brainiac. So you see, it's just about even. Please don't exaggerate, it's so annoying.

I'm sure some of you may have noticed, but the DCAU Lana is a tribute to Mary Jane Parker, Peter Parker's best friend, confidant, and wife (depending on the fifty or so active continuitys thus far) in the Spider-Man comics. Her look is based off of her "iconic" apperance illustrated by John Romita Snr.

The real Lana in the comics is sadly nothing like this MJ tribute, she's a real heartless bitch who never got over Clark and left her husband.

Because Smallville is a cheap high-school and later family and relationship drama show about whining people and their issues.

Drama and Superman don't mix, which is why in Smallville he hasn't put on a costume or even really flew yet.

Personally I think Smallville is just like any other drama show on TV: full of pretty people with lame, highly artificial issues, only it happens to have Superman's name on it.

I'm not being critical, that's just what it is and what people want to watch I guess.

Well, Lana was his FIRST love, so he will always be special to Lana and vice versa, no matter what one thinks of their mental capacity. However, considering that Lois is an investigative reporter, it standss to reason she is a little smarter than Lana, if only because she was a city girl and privy to a lot of things Lana never was, especially with a father in the military.
