Bands like this for me at least, sound good when you first here them because the clean vocals and chorus usual save them from the rest of the song which is usually boring. But the cleans can only keep you satisfied for so long and then there's nothing else to keep you hooked in. Just how I feel.

@DannyDinoFace It was recorded by Tom Denney, in his basement... He knows what he's doing but he doesn't really have the best of anything. So the album isn't "professionally" recorded or mastered. Notice how it sounds a lot like We are defiance's album?? Same recording process, same tools, same mastering process, same effects, etc...

not to mention that more than half of the band walked away from music for a while after the car crash on tour when they were a city serene.

I really like the mix-my only gripe is the kick drum. It's just a bit overbearing in my opinion. It could just be my speakers, but it really sounds as if it's overpowering the mix (much like VoM's "The Common Man's Collapse"). Aside from that the production quality is great imo. The only thing I'm not sure if I'm big on music wise is the clean vocals. He sounds off pitch a lot of the time. Not to say he isn't good, but a bit of pitch correction in the studio never hurt anything.
