Its so slow, my goodness voice command in phones work better. i don't see why anyone would choose this over simply doing the same thing on their smart phone which goes a lot faster.
@SkywardDragonKing I think the idea behind this and any type of vehicle smartphone integration is that while it might be somewhat quicker to perform the task via the smartphone, this system allows you to perform the task while driving with minimal driver distraction from the road. You can press a button on the steering wheel and control the system via voice make the command. This is safer the fumbling with an iPhone.
@iSuppliAutomotive Might be the case but its so darn slow, why can a smart phone move through apps really fast yet this is so sluggish? they could have done better.
@SkywardDragonKing I asked that question. In this case, its actually the smartphone and the poor wireless coverage that creates the delay. Which is something a user would experience if they had this system or not.
@SkywardDragonKing No. Basically, the user downloads a Toyota Entune App which integrates OpenTable, MovieTickets, Bing, Pandora, and iheartradio (all applicable user accounts) and then via Bluetooth offers command and control of the apps in the vehicle. All of the application content is processed and managed on the smartphone, but the user can control the apps without picking up their smartphone via voice, steering wheel controls or the touch screen. Answer your question?
