I'm not religious and I wasn't raised religiously. But I still loved this movie as a child and still do. There are many debates as to whether or not the story of Moses is true, but I think no matter your opinion and no matter your religion you can appreciate the story and the themes it has within it. It is a beautiful story.

He sends the Angel of death under most circumstances to execute death when the time comes for a soul to return to Him. The commandment in Exodus says "Thou shalt not murder". I don't know why but I've always been fascinated by mother's who make ultimate sacrifices for their babies. Like Moses's mother, Quasimodo's mother, Even Po's mother from Kung Fu Panda.
It's pretty obvious this is a Dreamworks movie. If you have noticed, Disney Movies have a very different art and plot style than Dreamworks movies. Disney movies are more playful with there plots and the style of art is more lovable and cute. Dreamworks movies tend to be more serious with their plots, and the style of animation and art is a bit more angled, not as cutesy pootsy. Like this one.

"Disney is learning you stuff" never really came into my mind, until I saw these movies. Especially this one... I just love it. When in history class the subject The Bible came on, I just got an A for the test about Mozes. I'm so thankfull for all the live lessons... and the real help it gave at school ;) thank you Disney.

Ever heard of the saying "Keep thy religion to thyself?" That's what the majority of these commenting users should be doing! It doesn't matter what religion you are or if you lack one. Your belief is yours and that's how it should be. What does matter here is that this a beautiful moving piece from a movie with many breath-taking scenes. If you don't like it or just plain don't agree with it, then don't watch it. Simple as that.

Just so everyone knows every religion has had something happen that it is not proud of. It is human nature to be flawed. No one is perfect.The Church in medieval times and the renaissance was corrupt. I went to church multiple times a week and I started studying the Bible with the hope of becoming a preacher in Korea (I even took Korean for it). Upon studying the Bible, I realized how many things were wrong with it and became an atheist.

I'm still trying to find out my beliefs fully. I think hell and heaven (if there is one) isn't up or down, but in different dimensions. You're wrong because you wouldn't know a god "existed" unless someone told you. If a person never was told to believe in a god, they would have no knowledge that such a concept existed. Just like you never would have known about Santa unless someone told you about it. No one is born knowing a god.

I'm not religious and I wasn't raised religiously. But I still loved this movie as a child and still do. There are many debates as to whether or not the story of Moses is true, but I think no matter your opinion and no matter your religion you can appreciate the story and the themes it has within it. It is a beautiful story.

It's pretty obvious this is a Dreamworks movie. If you have noticed, Disney Movies have a very different art and plot style than Dreamworks movies. Disney movies are more playful with there plots and the style of art is more lovable and cute. Dreamworks movies tend to be more serious with their plots, and the style of animation and art is a bit more angled, not as cutesy pootsy. Like this one.
