Jordan, this video is a blast from the past. From the dayz of 23c's to the point where "Fixed freestyle" is know is astonishing. I sure miss those days, when my bike was actually comfortable yet i could still do tricks.

I also noticed how old this video is, and i know that fixed gear freestyle was nothing in 2006. I think this video is flippin' sweet.

Notice that this video is about a year and a half old.

We all start somewhere, and like most people when I started I wasn't very good. If that makes you want to destroy your bike, that's fine. One less asshole on a bike thinking he's cooler than everyone else.

(I'm new at this) When you skid that long, how long do you last with a tire?

Well, it depends on how good of a tire you have, and how many skid surfaces your gear ratio gives you. I forgot how to calculate gear ratios, but I've been riding that tire on a 46/14 ratio for 3 months and its still holding

"Simplify the gear ratio to the smallest equivalent whole number ratio. The denominator of the resulting fraction is the number of skid patches you will have on your rear tire. Example: 42/16 simplifies to 21/8, so you would theoretically have 8 skid patches."
