what ive found is that since im not particularly geared, my pet makes up for my lack of dps when im in BM and most of the time does more dps :) thats just me tho.

Does anyone know which tree/spec is the most mana-efficient for a hunter? BM, MM, or Survival? Which does the most DPS? And which one all around, has good mana-efficiency and DPS?
I was BM up to level 80 but then i changed to MM. Not that i didn't like BM but a friend had suggested it and i tried it out and liked it. Just do what you think is fun and what you enjoy most, it is a game and it is meant for entertainment and enjoyment.
Im not saying that you need to ABANDON you BM spec, im just saying that you would enjoy trying a little bit more DPS than whjat you have now.
I would choose Survival as my secondary spec (actually, SV is the main spec and MM is my secondary spec, because i use them for: Battlegrounds & Arena, respectivitly)
But, if you are happy with BM, go ahead and use it.
Sometimes I envy BM's because their speed incrases, bestial wrath &exotic beat taming, but whatever

@xGlennGJx Haha you made me laugh, the hunter class in itself is very simple game play the only thing you need less skill to play is dk or rogue. As far as BM goes if you can get good dps out of it you show more skill then a surv/MM hunter
I personally have seen some good BM dps. Its been proven already, in terms of pet dps, that Chimeara beats a Wolf. And if you want to be a better player, sometimes...
it all comes down to gear..always the gear. Your skill doesn't matter really if your undergeared, sadly.

Meh. Do what you want. MM does so much more dps than BM and that's *partially* why I like it so much. The other reason is that BM is way too easy to understand. There are no situational choices. You throw your pet in, use BW, SS, arcane shot, and SS forever. Secondly, I hate having to rely on some(one/thing) else to give me MY dps and when my pet is doing like 60% of my damage, I have to rely on it... a lot. Besides, I love 10k f Chimera Shot crits on things my pet can't reach =)
Honestly, If you people dont like the fact that he plays BM, go screw yourselfs <.<. BM hunters were awesome in BC and I for one LOVE the spec. I could care less if SV or MM is more damage. Im paying 15 dollars A MONTH to play a game. If I enjoy a BM spec, Im going to play it. So go screw yourselfs.

@gassnaut (i know i answerd a bit late ;)) i tryed his spec and wow that didn't work my dps Went from 7500 to 5750 and because i played MM since Classic i still like the MM spec and my pet is stil very important its 500 of my dps ;) but anyway my point was play what you like not the Best spec
beast master hunter here but just saying for my opinion i think that beast mastery is the best spec for hunters, survival is only good for strictly pvp when beast mastery can be good for soloing and pvp, ive found that without being beast mastery your pet does alot more damage and does not hold aggro as well, you also get more spec points for your pet tree which is a very good boost...BEAST MASTAH 4 LYFE

Heres my issue. I play a dk but since i watched these videos i had the urge to level my hunter from 70-80 i am currently at 77 after 3 days :D from bc i was always a fan of bm. But i specced into mm and i do 500 dps more. Now im wondering. I love bm. Its my style. But will i get into raids as bm? I have the most fun on bm. But will that be an issue?
i just wanted to say the i personally play a marksman hunter but i think that BM hunters play a HUGE role in WOW and without them there would be no spirit beast. im actually thinking of rerolling to BM just for the spirit beast and the extra dps
I so agree with you. I play SV hunter--I have always been SV since level-80--but everyone now says SV sucks and I should be MM. I've yet to be beaten by a MM in pugs. I'm sure the elitist guilds beat me but for the most part, I do very decent DPS as SV.

Like i suck wit casters and i am just ok at hunters but paladins is my thing and maybe Dks and warriors, but still paladins if my favourit (i dont now hot to spell that word. beast master rules. i started as a night elf rogue, and at level 8 had a 12 yr old infiltrator lure me to a tauren hunter. i love tauren, and i love bm. i couldnt imagine playing any other. i have many toons, many races, two factions. but this is my boy. screw em, play wht u like. i am the Elfstomper. (but i really like elves, just bad name lol)
I chose beast master because I like it most ppl who just that spec care about having fun than rather the top dps with survival but it also depends on your gear
@thedominican098 Exactly, in the end, if you enjoyed yourself, it served its purpose. I play Paladin main, but BM is my favorite Hunter tree as is Demo for Warlocks. What makes those classes unique is the synergy with the pet and that is what lures me in the most.
Everyone can choose any class , it's just your opinion if you like or dislike them. I like hunters , especially BM Hunters , even thought I play a Feral Druid.
yo ive been doin research yeterday i got gondria and some how he really boosted my dps as a bm hunter wen up 300 dps. and my frnd is a bm hunter wit arcturis i looked at his speced and he isnt specced completely right soohe was pullin 1.7k while i was doin 2.2k and he was like wtf. anyway we are both undergeared and i realized that u have dash on ur spec 4 ur pet u shouldnt use it us the stam spec dash is not worth nd dps can use culling the herd:) it works from a bm hunter!! torous- dawnbringer

I play MM for ONLY one reason I played it since classic (one month after the classic were on the market) and back then MM had some abilitys that haven been moved to SV, new abilitys etc. But I really liked the spec back then that's the reason I choosed it not becauce of dps (continued)

U know what...i think that BM is a way to go..dps is a bit lower...but if u are the most comfortable with that spec u should definitly play it....it sux playing something that u dont enjoy...and btw...Its ur playstyle...it would suck to change a tradition ...u are beastmaster hunter since day 1 u started making ur videos :)

While I have tried, I can't get into BM, but the game is exacly that - a game. Too many take wow too seriously. I have seen plenty excellent BM hunters, I only wish my MM hunter could get a spirit beast or huge dino whose ass gets in everyones way in instances:)
I play MM for PvE but BM for PvP , whatever floats your boat IMO, everyone has their own playstyle =) Like your videos man, BM FOR LYFE (For PvP atleast =P)

Dude I've been playing all 3 specs for years too and BM is an awesome build. The difference now is something like maybe 100 dps or so between the builds so PLAY WHAT YOU LIKE!!! BM is fun as hell and let these idiots say what they want. Besides HOW you play your spec is more important than what spec you play. Keep up the good work dude.

Its alll about knowing how to play your class if u can play your class u will be great good spec or not good spec. now every spec has there things. I play a 80Marksman hunter, i guess BM is ok but i dont have much love for it. From raiding with all different combinations of people, i can say you will have more success in raids as MM or SURV. I usually only see BM hunters for arena and (lol you passed Lil KT like 5times :P)

If you want to be better as a player and put out more dps, then I derfinately suggest going either Survival, or if you have the gear, go Marksman.

Heres my issue. I play a dk but since i watched these videos i had the urge to level my hunter from 70-80 i am currently at 77 after 3 days :D from bc i was always a fan of bm. But i specced into mm and i do 500 dps more. Now im wondering. I love bm. Its my style. But will i get into raids as bm? I have the most fun on bm. But will that be an issue?

i just wanted to say the i personally play a marksman hunter but i think that BM hunters play a HUGE role in WOW and without them there would be no spirit beast. im actually thinking of rerolling to BM just for the spirit beast and the extra dps

I so agree with you. I play SV hunter--I have always been SV since level-80--but everyone now says SV sucks and I should be MM. I've yet to be beaten by a MM in pugs. I'm sure the elitist guilds beat me but for the most part, I do very decent DPS as SV.

Infact anything rocks if you can play it. Like i suck wit casters and i am just ok at hunters but paladins is my thing and maybe Dks and warriors, but still paladins if my favourit (i dont now hot to spell that word. Like Tribunal said play as you like and dont say: "lol beast master suck or warriors are too big aggro scamers". well that last one is sometimes true but. last time i say to you all: "Play what you like".

beast master rules. i started as a night elf rogue, and at level 8 had a 12 yr old infiltrator lure me to a tauren hunter. i love tauren, and i love bm. i couldnt imagine playing any other. i have many toons, many races, two factions. but this is my boy. screw em, play wht u like. i am the Elfstomper. (but i really like elves, just bad name lol)

I chose beast master because I like it most ppl who just that spec care about having fun than rather the top dps with survival but it also depends on your gear

@thedominican098 Exactly, in the end, if you enjoyed yourself, it served its purpose. I play Paladin main, but BM is my favorite Hunter tree as is Demo for Warlocks. What makes those classes unique is the synergy with the pet and that is what lures me in the most.

yo ive been doin research yeterday i got gondria and some how he really boosted my dps as a bm hunter wen up 300 dps. and my frnd is a bm hunter wit arcturis i looked at his speced and he isnt specced completely right soohe was pullin 1.7k while i was doin 2.2k and he was like wtf. anyway we are both undergeared and i realized that u have dash on ur spec 4 ur pet u shouldnt use it us the stam spec dash is not worth nd dps can use culling the herd:) it works from a bm hunter!! torous- dawnbringer

And I think that it's very good that you aren't one who just focus on dps but having a good time I'm just very lucky MM got better than SV in patch 3,1 but just like you will continue to be BM I will be MM even though I think BM will be better in cataclysm because of pet scaling. (I know my English ain't perfeckt live with it)

I play MM for ONLY one reason I played it since classic (one month after the classic were on the market) and back then MM had some abilitys that haven been moved to SV, new abilitys etc. But I really liked the spec back then that's the reason I choosed it not becauce of dps (continued)

U know what...i think that BM is a way to go..dps is a bit lower...but if u are the most comfortable with that spec u should definitly play it....it sux playing something that u dont enjoy...and btw...Its ur playstyle...it would suck to change a tradition ...u are beastmaster hunter since day 1 u started making ur videos :)

While I have tried, I can't get into BM, but the game is exacly that - a game. Too many take wow too seriously. I have seen plenty excellent BM hunters, I only wish my MM hunter could get a spirit beast or huge dino whose ass gets in everyones way in instances:)

(in actual fact the reason its in my MH is because it procs DP alot quicker)

Dude I've been playing all 3 specs for years too and BM is an awesome build. The difference now is something like maybe 100 dps or so between the builds so PLAY WHAT YOU LIKE!!! BM is fun as hell and let these idiots say what they want. Besides HOW you play your spec is more important than what spec you play. Keep up the good work dude.

Its alll about knowing how to play your class if u can play your class u will be great good spec or not good spec. now every spec has there things. BM in hunters are mostly used as a leveling spec and or "tanking" spec. now im not saying that its not cut out for dps. now if u take your spec and your right class playing = to MAX DPS no matter what spec u are

I play a 80Marksman hunter, i guess BM is ok but i dont have much love for it. From raiding with all different combinations of people, i can say you will have more success in raids as MM or SURV. I usually only see BM hunters for arena and (lol you passed Lil KT like 5times :P)
