I remember using windows movie maker and when i was done i wanted to show my movie to family and friends. I go out and get blank dvd's and pop one in my HP computer. I go to burn the movie and movie maker tells me it can't do it, unless i had some dvd player with a Himat or something format and i never heard of that format before. When i got a mac it just work, i had the movie on a dvd without any problems. Somethings in life should be easy like a mac.
Windows has really improved, I'm assuming you were on windows XP at the time because Vista and Windows 7 both have a really easy program called "Windows DVD Maker". The other reason it didn't work could've been because your HP didn't have a DVD burner. Today all PCs and Macs come standard with a DVD burner so you really wouldn't have a hard time no matter what. Essentially what you're doing is comparing old tech with new tech and saying that the new tech on the mac is better than new Windows.
netbooks dont have drives AT ALL johnny! hahha but no. who edits movies on a netbok? lol. anyways yeh im really impressed the new movie maker, the old one was horrible. they really improved!
I agree with you my friend! I'm on a macbook pro, because my PC notebook kept crashing all the time, not only that but the Microsoft Office on it was only a trial version and I couldn't use it, on my macbook, iLife is more than easy to use, as well as iWork, which is 100x more simple than MS Office.
I think you'll find I pointed out that I'm a mac user, and have had very few crashes on my macbook, I do have a vista laptop, which i hardly ever use (for obvious reasons) Ive lost my faith in Windows, so what if Windows 7 fixes Vista's problems. Will Winows 8 be just another Vista or Windows ME?
Okay, let's look at windows live movie maker (WLMM) it's self.
First off, one of the big problems I see with the program (evedent in this clip) is that you cannot control the sound well. You either want the music soft and the video loud. (e.g, look at 2:22 - 2:32 and listen for the change in volume)
Appart from that, it looks even better to make a video in WLMM if you are a beginner (like home family movies) but stick to WMM if you're used to that though.
you can make the audio lower than the video. there is a mix feature on the home tab which you can adjust to make the video louder than the audio or vice versa. You can then change the video volume to the level you want.
Hey Josh, I disagree with you. I have downloaded the WLMM from the live website and it is working fine! Actually, there is a Mixer slider where you can play the video audio and the soundtrack together at the same time.

Tell me about it. Imovie is WAY better. I mean this looks so cheesy. iMovie makes it look so much better.
Windowsvsakawyse 2 years ago
Yes because how cheesy it looks depends on the software, not how the user makes it. That was sarcasm btw to your idiotic comment.
