There's a slight problem with your timeline. Both this movie and the Adam West BATMAN show came out in 1966, so while I'm sure Steckler was inspired by the campy show, it wasn't "when he was a kid".

@GoblinXXX He said the Batman and Robin "serials" meaning old cliffhanger serial films from the 40s such as Flash Gordon. Not the Batman TV show of the 60s.
