I was there too, 3 meters from the stage, and it was the first time I heard this song too.. Unforgettable! This performance alone was worth the 150 miles drive from Seattle, and the cycling back... ;)

bbeans, search for "REM Let me in Albany" on youtube and you will see how the song was performed back in the day (1995, the Monster tour). You won't believe the difference!

you should check out the original version on monster, bbeans. Peter plays keyboards with one finger as here and Mike shreds the hell outta Kurt Cobain's old Jagstang. It's killer.
