You are not making any sense. The 03-04 Cobra has forged internals from the factory. Yes the whipple is a direct replacement for the Eaton blower the Cobra comes with from the factory. You need some fuel upgrades and a clutch. 4700 will cover the blower and install(tuning). I am a Cobra owner. My brother owns a Z06 (c6). The new Z06 is faster than any Cobra withut some hefty mods. The C5 Z06 is almost even in terms of 1/4 mile times stock. A pullied Cobra can outrun stock C5 Z06 with good driver

A stock 03-04 cobra rotating assembly can reliably hold up to around 650-700 hp. Once you get upwards of 800 your pushing your luck and around 950-1000 your gonna start getting head lift. Of course if you beat on it everyday it's going to fail eventually at any hp level.

A stock 03-04 cobra rotating assembly can reliably hold up to around 650-700 hp. Once you get upwards of 800 your pushing your luck and around 950-1000 your gonna start getting head lift. Of course if you beat on it everyday it's going to fail eventually at any hp level.

Please stop comparing the cobra with the vette! Your making yourselves look bad. The vette is clearly in a class above the cobra and you constantly want to compare the two. It's not our fault the cobra can beat the vette in a straight line with bolt ons for less money than the cost of a bone stock vette. Well if this was 2002 I would agree. But Ford built the 2003 cobra to compete with the base LS1 vette since the LS1 equipped camaro and firebird pretty much was pushing up daisies. The cobra won and it took a z06 to beat the cobra. I also feel it worth mentioning that a supercharger was the cheapest way to do it, a cobra R motor would have done the trick but the eaton was cheaper. So your argument should be no "cobra vs vette z06."

No it wasn't. 0-60 times mean little to nothing other than one of those cars are faster in 0 to 60 MPH. As I recall the 1967 GT500 was slower in the 0-60 times compared to the 1967 camaro SS, but the GT500 blew its doors off in the 1/4 mile. In the 1/4 mile a 03 cobra will beat a LS1 vette.
