In a lot of videos of Afghan, you seem to only see a lot of fire going the Taliban's way and assume they're not there, this is because the soldiers mostly keep them in place (through rapid fire) until they can be hit with something bigger. Such as Air Strikes, or an Apache. Essentially it's suppression but with the aim of stopping the taliban scooting off somewhere else.
To everyone wondering why you can't actually see any Taliban fighters, it's b/c it's hard enough to see the bastards when you're actually there, let alone watching a shaky video of it. You think they come in straight lines like it's the civil war? They hide in windows, doorways, treelines, show themselves for just a second or two to shoot at you then duck behind cover again. Of course it's real. There are hundreds of video's of combat. For most army's in Afghanistan, someone in your team has to wear a helmet cam so they know what happened if something happens (eg. a firefight or someone gets killed). Back before helmet cams, if this happened, the person commanding them would have to write a report of exactly what happened. It would be pretty hard writing about something if they weren't there. With a helmet, cam it's much easier.
you may not have physically been there when the U.S. was attacked but you are part of a culture that supports these people. Making fools of ourselves and wasting haji is what we in the military do best!

Of course it's real. There are hundreds of video's of combat. For most army's in Afghanistan, someone in your team has to wear a helmet cam so they know what happened if something happens (eg. a firefight or someone gets killed). Back before helmet cams, if this happened, the person commanding them would have to write a report of exactly what happened. It would be pretty hard writing about something if they weren't there. With a helmet, cam it's much easier.

When I did my 3 tours so many lost their lives. Some, they ran out of amno doing the same thing these guys are. Supply trucks can get ambushed meaning amno and well needed weapons can not reach you on time when you need them the most. ... Me, I preferd single shot and make every shot count.
