I do 4 sets of 12 usually. Yes its very good for your hipflexor and lower abs. I do this exercise once a week, however I do other ab exercises too. let me know how it goes.
Wow that looks hard. How many reps and sets do you do? and how often do you do these? I do hanging leg raises all the time I LOVE them but that looks much harder I must try it.
