i driven the new f150 with the 5.0L engine its a powerfull truck i floored it from 50kph the back tires lighted up easly and easly gets up from 40kph to 140kph from a on ramp before i got off the on i was doing 140 i allso tested the new chevy truck with the 5.3L had a hard time getting up to 110kph from 40kph and i could only get 1 wheel to spin in dirt. i was on the same on ramp where i tested the f150 speed quick i was just hitting 110 before the on ramp ended F150 FTW

Yea a friend of mine has the 2010 Platinum edition F150, It's nice! I hope to own one soon. I'm 21, and I've had sports cars my whole life, Mustangs, Cameros and such, I'd kinda like to have a truck because they are stylish, and roomy inside... plus you wouldn't ever get stuck...

@TheBowhunter1990 Except with an F-250, you're a bit more limited on your off-road abilities, and the F-150 can tow and haul just about anything you'd need. trust me, I have 2 of them, and an F-250. And the added gas mileage and maneuverability doesn't hurt.

Ford makes, now, the most reliable pickup. I've seen more dodge's and gm trucks in the shop then a ford truck. I worked for a plumbing company with my brother in law, and the chevy express's and gmc's were in the shop a lot. But the Econoline was always running. The 5.4 Triton engine is awesome! :)

I've been in the new F-150 and it rides more like a sedan to me then a truck and it's super comfortable and quiet. They get the best in class fuel economy and reliability. Love the 5.4 Triton engine!

My thoughts exactly. From everything I have seen, GM cannot make a good vehicle. Even the high end GM vehicles feel very cheap and badly made. In addition to that every Gm I have ever owned has been extremely un-reliable and terrible MPG.

@stopscrewingaround11 I agree. I owned a 2008 Silverado LTZ and a have to say it was about the cheapest, most worst excuse for a pick up truck I ever owned. I've since opened my eyes and purchased a new 2010 F-150 Platinum Edition. It's far, far superior to what GM offers, in terms of engineering, comfort, safety and overall quality. GM couldn't even dream of a truck like my Platinum Edition on their best days. It is light years ahead of the Silverado on any day and twice on Sundays.

I don't like how the front window slopes down, it's uncomfortable when you rest your arm on it, the resulting corner digs in the forearm.

They should move the production team away from Michigan and in the South, where their biggest market-share of consumers live and work. I have nothing to complain about the design, quality, torque and durability however.

I preferred the F-150 of the late 1990s, the one with the round shaped head- and tail-lights.

To me, today the best truck is the Ram 1500.

I know they don't have one but I am just telling you what I heard. My dad is a manager at the ranger plant in st. paul and they had some problem with the new traction control on the 2010 model, so the supplier came in and my dad asked him about the 5.0l v8 and the guy said it was going to be on the f150, and he said that the 2 other engines I said were going in the f150 engine line up. So I am just telling you guys what I heard, so don't thumb down me.

-A 3.8l v6 in place of the 4.6 2valve

-The 3.5l ecoboost v6 engine

-A 5.0l 4v v8

And that's what I have heard from reliable ford employees.
