Back for another go round here. Man I never get tired of this song. I got Uncle Tupelo and Utah Phillips version. This one might top em all. Outstanding!
I was just browsing through my channel and I noticed that you had a posting, so I clicked on your picture and sat here for over eight minutes just being blown away by your talent. No surprise there, I think that you are one of the best folk singers Ive ever heard. I dont know this song, but I dont want to hear any other version, this is the one for me.
I`ll post up mines one of these days in the mean time I`m gonna pop open another one and sit back and listen this one here once more. I honestly cant improve upon yours or Raymonds version. Though I kwow it aint about that
Brother you talk about big time awesome ! "" this is it "" . Outstanding, music , song played and sang well I can listen to you song after song & I have many times. 5 star fav ! --:)Rod
The ability to rate is missing from my screen? I don't know how to fix it. But I would give U 5 * if I could...This song and your delivery of it reached thru the haze........peace, Don
Nice job Arch on a song that is appropriate for the world we are livin' in...I like your use of the "down run" from E to A at 436, U don't use it much, but when I hear it, it fits well.. Your delivery is strong & I know it comes from your heart........peace.....Don
outstanding!!! Archie,,,, songs like this should be on radio stations around the world all day long,,,, I've got to know when people are gonna, get it, and just STOP!!
Yeah, when will we ever learn? That IS the question. Great song and thoughtful of you to post for all the misfortunate ones of the world Archie. Thank you.
What a great response to "Farther Along"! Woody Guthrie didn't just use the same tune; he's saying it's not good enough to wait for the answers "farther along." We need answers now!
Ya feel this one dont ya Archie?- got the first stars and comment- damn you sure are a hell of a performer....love that harp....ah hell....I love all of it!
Thanks Richard. I wonder why it is that a song that was written in the forties is so relevant to what we are experiencing today..... As another timeless song asks: "When will we ever learn?"
