This guy not only sounds a lot like Elvis, he has a lot of his subtle movements down. Especially from around 1:18 to 1:28. And then at about 1:50, when he looks to someone stage left...just that quick little movement was spot-on Elvis.
Doug has a great voice, as do many other ETA's such as Shawn Klush, Donny Edwards, Walt Sanders, etc. We have to appreciate their talent and enjoy that they are keeping the legend alive. There is only one King and the real deal, Elvis Presley himself. Rock on guys!

Elvis'reputation was made by the Sun years and carried on throughout 1957,1958 and 1959 at RCA...he was the iconic rebel, theguru of real rock n roll...yet all these guys, lets face it, middle aged and overweight men want to do is to climb into a jump suit and remind the world of what he became, an overweight, parody of himself.

It has been conclusively proven that Liberty Mounten is the world's greatest Elvis impersonator. Whilst Doug Church (whom I have heard of)is a very satisfactory Elvis performer, he is at best slightly above average.

There's more to doing "Elvis" than just sounding like him....the inflections in his songs have to match as well...something I'm better at than his actual voice sound but I get accused of lip syncing all the time because my inflection is right. If you've ever been to a good show you would think different. It keeps the memory alive and shows the younger crowd what an Elvis show might have been like. My daughter is a fan today because of going to a tribute concert.

He's good! Had me fooled for about 3 days when i heard his rendition on isound of stars and stripes and it was attributed to Jon Burrows complete with a picture of an aged Elvis! How mean can people get? Do a search at isound for jon burrows, you'll see what i mean.

I seriously doubt Elvis spirit needs to be "kept alive" by tribute artists making mega-bucks out of the image/music/voice of the King. There is enough films and recordings and real-life memories existing that Elvis will never die.
No one compares to Elvis, particularly these tribute artists living off his legacy.

Actually, Doug is not an IMPERSONATOR..... he is an ETA, an "Elvis Tribute Artist" and he does his best to pay tribute to the King of Rock & Roll. Thanks God for Doug, he has been blessed with an amazing voice, the closest there is to Elvis.

This guy not only sounds a lot like Elvis, he has a lot of his subtle movements down. Especially from around 1:18 to 1:28. And then at about 1:50, when he looks to someone stage left...just that quick little movement was spot-on Elvis.

Doug has a great voice, as do many other ETA's such as Shawn Klush, Donny Edwards, Walt Sanders, etc. We have to appreciate their talent and enjoy that they are keeping the legend alive. There is only one King and the real deal, Elvis Presley himself. Rock on guys!

Why is it that these people insist on impersonating Elvis at his worst? Elvis'reputation was made by the Sun years and carried on throughout 1957,1958 and 1959 at RCA...he was the iconic rebel, theguru of real rock n roll...yet all these guys, lets face it, middle aged and overweight men want to do is to climb into a jump suit and remind the world of what he became, an overweight, parody of himself.
If you want to see a proper impersonator then go and see Travis LeDoyte or Eddie Clendenning.

Check out Doug's website and notice that he gives his KUDOS to Jimmy Ellis. These guys are so close in vocal ability it's scarey. NO OTHER ETA is even in their league. R.I.P. Jimmy Ellis. I have met Doug and he really is a class act. DOUGCHURCHUSA dot com.

Check out Jimmy Ellis on YouTube singing the first song that Doug started out with on this video. Their voices are identical. Doug is good BUT he is NOT the BEST ETA out there. If he were, why wasn't he picked at one of the 10 guys who are at Memphis this week??? We have an ETA in our hometown who sounds better than Doug! Check out EchosofaLegend--Stephen Freeman...HE ROCKS!!!!

It has been conclusively proven that Liberty Mounten is the world's greatest Elvis impersonator. Whilst Doug Church (whom I have heard of)is a very satisfactory Elvis performer, he is at best slightly above average.

agreed....as an ELVIS fan for over 30 years and a fair impersonator of his voice Douch Church by far is the best I've heard. There's more to doing "Elvis" than just sounding like him....the inflections in his songs have to match as well...something I'm better at than his actual voice sound but I get accused of lip syncing all the time because my inflection is right. Doug Church has both going for him....awesome.

If you've ever been to a good show you would think different. It keeps the memory alive and shows the younger crowd what an Elvis show might have been like. My daughter is a fan today because of going to a tribute concert.
