The rats were actually not that scary compared to the cockroach one. I almost threw up at that one. When they came falling out of the rafters onto the people...you could see the cockroaches actually falling into their mouths! When I saw that bit I choked up my pasta. That one was horrific. I used to not mind cockroaches, but now whenever I see one I start screaming. ToT

As Drew & Ryan mention - Ben Wagner. Ben (1972) was a sequel movie to Willard (1971). Ben Wagner is a rat who is befriended by an introverted and sickly boy. Michael Jackson sang the theme song which Ryan and Colin sing a line of at 4:10 - "Ben, the two of us need look no more, we both found what we were searching for..." Terrible movies, but you can hear the theme song still played on oldie radio stations.
