  • 33 people suck at marching:)

  • mmmmyyyyyyyyy band is doing it this year! but not that second song? idek hat that is! (; im loving every moment of this season!

  • The Drum Majors are amazing! :D

  • I love how the Drum Major conducts .... Good Work :DD

  • Must have been windy i see a few sails in the guard

  • Gary Gilroy wrote a Camelot show and it was really great too. my school marched it this past year unfortunately we last at the very end... 3/10 of a point was the difference between 1st place and third place. but on the the brighter side percussion went undefeated.

  • Pretty epic

  • THIS. IS. INSANE.

  • wow i've never seen people this excited about a marching band. whenever we perform at my school (mostly during half time shows) they all ignore us or start doing the "Wave" in the stands....

    :/

  • 5:50 to 6:14 is just sick nasty pro!

  • I was at a band competition and there was a band that did this same thing. The only thing different was they didn't have a drum solo and your band was bigger than theirs. They also put in a fighting scene, but they always do that.

You guys were much better than they were last night so good job! :)

  • we r doin that show wish we had a fog machine

  • I can tell one guy ruins the whole show since he didn't show up

  • @wildnuggets2 Yeah, there was this Rifle Guy who played an important role in the beginning @ 0:50 where he would have a Member on his shoulder who had a gold ship-wheel, steering the ship (brass block) on the 45 yard line. We have video of earlier competitions where you could see how it was interpreted. Also a Mellophone was sick, so 258/260 Members performed in this video.

  • their guard is huge! O.o

  • @itachisgurl4ever Not anymore we only have like four people me sum girl and d and a

  • I can only hope that some day I will be as good as the guard members in this band. I started my first year of marching band, and I absolutely LOVE it!! The shows are always so cool, and the music we play is awesome. I love being in the colorguard!!!!!!!

  • This Video use to have the 480p / 360p option, but not anymore. Even though it doesn't allow you to chose the playback quality, YouTube has defaulted it to play in 480p.

  • @band1 It's fixed, but the picture quality only allows up to 360p. It used to have a 480p option.

  • @band1 *Update 12/2010: ytLarry from the YouTube team has fixed the quality on this video as well as the first 21 videos uploaded to my account, although it still plays in 360p, I do see the fix in quality from what it was before 12/20/2010. These are the original upload quality 44MB.

  • pretty beast

  • That was a very nice ballad rendition of "He's A Pirate." I'm impressed as.

  • our school played this. i was first bass. best show ever!

  • This was a pretty awesome vid, I remember back when I was in School wanting to do a Pirates show.... I love the score! Its nice to see a good pirates show, and the guard, Just wow, some of the stuff they pull is freakin sweeeeet!

  • Memories~~

  • I would kill to be in a marching band like that. Truly amazing performance!

  • wow....

  • that is alot of people, i didn't even notice there was colorguard until they started their flagwork.

  • That big hit and surprise swing flags sent chills down my spine the couple of nights I seen them live. pure genius. :D

  • We're looking at one of the top Bands of America.. in my opinion. It's a bummer that the 2009 Band isn't competing @ the Fiesta Bowl Marching Championships, just competing in marching in the parade. Which is still an honor btw. Looking forward to another great season.

  • this part was BEAST... 0:00 - 9:25

  • Congrats on your Reinstatement.

1 word. "Breathtaking". The commitment made by these fine musicians has really paid off. We all can't wait for this years program. But can it top their 2005 and 2008 show? ;-D

  • You can watch this video in High Definition by clicking the video in the video response box or the annotation placed on the video. *Corrected the angle problem, so you don't have to turn your head. :)

  • The HD Version in the video responses box was deleted by accident and it won't allow me to post another one. So the link to the HD version of this Video can be found if you click on the annotation. It might even pop up on the right in the "Related Videos" Column. Sorry about that.

  • I want to go to this school D:

  • i know how you can fix the angle. you can get final cut pro and that'll allow you to rotate your video to any degree you want. too bad you can't contact youtube personally. it won't be a bad idea to replace this one with the fixed one, without changing the views/ratings/comments/etc. great video none the less. very popular. :-)

  • It has already been done. I corrected the angle with the HD version that I posted with my other account "mohsband". Click the link in the vid description to view it. Thanks.

  • Amazing

  • AMAZING

  • band geek you ass

  • i seen you guys perform at the aloha festivals parade yesterday, great job. still a huge band i see, as we all know it. what r you guys, like in the 200s? i was surprised when i seen the 7 snares & 3 tenors u guys are fielding this year. That's a 1st for u guys, i thought it was always 5 snares and 4 tenors, but i mean change doesn't hurt, I expect to see some rad perc features this year. Since the anticipated return of your director, i think you guys will surprise all durin competition week =P

  • I just noticed how much bigger you guys are than us! We have about maybe 80 at the most and that's including the color gaurd and pit! We even had to steal eight graders for our pit.

  • Our high school is playing this show. We fucked with the ending though and on the last long note, we cut it off then played as loud as we could! It was insane!

Good show, guys! Loved your beginning.

  • Who is/was this trumpet player

  • the guy playin with the bari/tuba trio is marty b. the trumpet trio that was featured when that huge rifle toss at the beginning included marty b, ryan k & brad k. and the trumpet solo in the ballad was brad k. :P

  • awesome show

  • was kevin the baritone soloist???

  • yeah, kevin c. was the baritone solo in the trio. tuba/baritone/trumpet.

  • very awesome... the colorguard at 6:00 is ioncredible... the colorguard at my school is one of the best in oour state, but that was way better than ours...

  • do bands from Hawaii and Alaska compete at BOA Nationals? If not, this one should. Great job.

  • lol

the 4th bass drum took too many steps forward at 6:02 and bumped into number 5....

but yeah... when our marching band performs Pirates, i think i'll post a video response to this one..

hopefully our show will be as good as this band's was =]

  • you have a very good eye drew0493. ahah. i'm a percussionist and i feel for the 4th bass. he probably allowed the huge crowd to get in his head and had to worry about performing well. let me say that he isn't the only one out there, many performers try too hard to not let the crowd affect their performance. none the less, this video earned it's popularity here on youtube. one of the best high schools i've seen put on a show in years. props to the creative staff behind these talented musicians (=

  • lol. yeah, i guess i do. haha.

but yeah, im a percussionist too...

this year im 2nd bass drum. and yeah, i understand all the pressure from the crowd and stuff. i just thought it was funny. lol

hopefully now that im a sophomore and in high school, and now that im posting high school videos, i can somewhat earn popularity on youtube. our high school sounds pretty good as of now with this show.. i cant wait til the day we learn the entire drill and run through the whole thing. itll be amazing=]

  • I'm a percussionist as well.

    I play the xylophone

    Pit is awesome!

  • i luv doin color gaurd ... the onli thing that bothers me r the dot books nd drill spots but other den dat ... Guard rocks

  • same here. drill spots kill me. especially in 100 degree weather on pavement.

  • What was that flash-thingy at 6: 42? Or, the better question would be, what made it flash?

  • those were camera flashes. all the winds had a one clipped to their marching uniform and on the last note everyone had to press their trigger to activate their flash. each member had their own colored flash, hence the 3rd movement title "search for the hidden treasure" the different colored flash symbolizes the colorful treasure/jewels/watever. ahah. i think you're like the 5th of 6th person who asked that question on here. lol =]

  • wow..props to the band ..its not easy to have so many people and make everything look good. i loved it :]

    GUARD ROCKS!

  • Wow That's Like ttly amazing, i play the trumpet, but i could never ever pull that off!!! LOL :)

  • WOW! Your guard was AWESOME! I'm in guard and I think we're pretty good!

We have 130 people in our marchingband. :-)

How many guard people do you have, it looks like there's over 30. We have like 20ish. ♥

  • there were 30 flags and 12 rifles in this video. so altogether there were 42 in the 2005 color guard. the drum majors were also trained to spin rifles so that they could take part in the drum feature. :]

  • we're doing this show this year...

    its gonna be great=]

does your marching band have freshmen in it???

we have about 220ish people in our band... without freshmen.. so i was just wondering

  • yeah, tons of freshmen join their freshmen year and continue with the program until they have reached their senior year. You can join your sophomore year, junior year even your senior year. It's worth the experience to be part of such a demanding yet amazing group.

  • ohh

our high school doesnt have freshmen..

we start off high school in 10th grade

    lol

  • OMG ANDREW this is Paige from Cabot! Look at the comment above this one that is commented by "inlovewithbtter011"

  • that was neat. we are doing pirates for our high school show and yalls is really neat.

  • what school are you from? i would like to see other bands post their versions of gary gilroy's "pirates!!!" it's a great original piece of work. :]

  • i go to Cabot High School in Arkansas. It will probably be posted...thanks to drew0493...lol, he posts everything. you should look at some of our videos. The one of the Incredibles Theme is amazing, i play the sax solo in there, its not the best because I dont have a jazz mouthpiece, but its pretty good, we were in 9th grade last year, so it was pretty cool that we pulled that one off

  • nooo! lol. our band isnt THAT good.

but its cuz we're like the lowest experienced band ever (for the grade that we're in). lol

and personally, i think our last concert sucked plus Moanalua High School seems like it has an amazing band program

i wish our band program was as good as theres

    even though ours is amazing

    :)

and IF anyone decides to look at our vids, you HAVE to realize its a junior high level band before you criticize.lol

But from now on its gonna be all high school stuff

    =]

  • AWESOME GUARD WORK!!!!!!

  • O.O

parts from winds of poseidon are in the first number aka the opener O.O

  • We have 34 winds 8 percussionist 2 majorettes and 13 guard which is 9 more people than last year. Even though we had a big drop from 75 to 48 from 2006 I wish we would grow.

  • We got 13

  • Haha. We have seven people in our color guard.

    I feel shamed watching this.

  • we have 19

  • 32! lol, and we're doing a pirates show...

  • what school are you from? i would like to see other bands post their versions of gary gilroy's "pirates!!!" it's a great original piece of work. :]

  • we have 6 >.> but all 6 of them are like pro :P

  • 2:40 trumpet trio on the 45 yard line west... awesome!

  • WOW!!!!!!!

    This is amazing.Music,drill,everything.

How many of y'all is it...y'all are huge!!!!

We have about 200 members so im pretty sure this is about 275-300

  • Oh My God. You guys are HUGE.

    260 members??? CHRIST!

I wish my band was bigger... We only have about 60 winds this year.

  • Holy fckign shit this preformance

    is absolutely p-e-r-f-e-c-t-i-o-n

  • i miss these days :( soo fun!!! <3 performing thought tiring at the same time

  • Love the flash from what I think is a horn movement at the end of the kick ass drum break. The head of band at my college co-wrote this show and my band that I'm in was the first to perform it. Go Fresno State Bulldog Marching Band!

  • omg.

    this is an awesome band.

    the colorguard is amazing.

and the show is really good.

and they hit their forms really well too.

  • holy crap, their colorguard is bigger than my entire band :|

  • This show has too many exclamation points.

  • At first I was expecting Pirates of the Carribean but this is nothing of the like. The first thing that caught my attention was the color guard with the surprise white flags. I love how they do suicides, WITH people in the middle. The balance of the band is okay, some instances of blasting and intonation issues but that might just come from the quality of the recording. More low end in my opinion, that's what gives a band that low, mysterious, dark sound that other bands envy. =P

  • PART 1:

Well first of all the main story with this band is the Color Guard. I can definately tell that they are well trained, and I hope that when i become a band director I can have a guard as good as this. I love the flag positions, and the dance moves. I can imagine what the winterguard looks like. Second of all as a woodwind, I always ask myself what contribution is made by them.

  • No Winterguard...only the regular band. The band director trains the Captains and they teach the rest. All student lead. They were very precision oriented in the past and begain to do more dance in the past years.

  • PART 2:

I enjoy the wonderful sound that this band gives as a whole, but what struck me is the solid woodwind line. This band defied the myth that woodwinds contribute nothing! Third of all, the sets were perfect, and had a good coverage of the field. I also liked the GE and the horn movements, though i felt that some were overused (in the beginning).

  • The 2004 show had 31 flutes...including my daughter Patti. The band had about 330 members.

  • PART 3:

The picture was fuzzy at times so i can't accurately judge marching, but over all this band looks like a Grand Champion Band, and possibly a Band of the day. Did I mention that awesome guard? Anyways if you have anymore video please post them, I'd love to see more of this band. Awesome, and nicely done!

    Rating:Superior

  • This field show is the secks.

    No arguing that.

  • here's a fact about MOANALUA'S history of DRUM MAJORS! for the longest time now, i believe ever since like 2000 til now, the DM's that conducted this band is either a SAX/BASSOON player. yep. weird huh. there hasn't been a brass player who took role of DM, for the longest time. it's tradition that only JUNIORS could be nominated new DM. the SENIOR DM, is either in his 2nd year as DM. the Junior DM conducts the first half of the show, and the Senior DM conducts the 2nd half of the show. lol. :P

  • WOW! I've never seen a HS band be this good! This is better than a majority of college bands out there. The drill is absolutely amazing and the sound is great! Very impressive!!

  • Amazing! go band and guard!!! WOOHOO!

  • THEY ARE GOOD!!!!

  • the choreography is amazinggggg

    colorguarding o.o

  • 800!!!

  • What made those blue flashes on the horns up?!

  • you mean at 6:42? i think this is much better viewed in the "HIGH" quality mode. very awesome.

  • it's probably their flawless horns up. this band is very disciplined. i seen them up close, well not really upclose but from behind in 06. if you watched their 2006 video. 2 mainland bands, Clovis West of california and Grand Rapids of minnesota played at the 2006 Rainbow Invitational. didn't really know what the hype was with the crowd, but after watching their show, they really do have talent. wished I could've seen it from the front though. amazing. more mainlands bands should go to HAWAII

  • they had a flash box on them

  • omj..how would you go about getting one of those??

  • at 6:41 all horns were down to our sides and with our left hand we triggered our flash. it was an added G.E. here's a closer picture of how it was clipped to our uniform.

    mohsmusic "dotcom" /coppermine/albums/userpics/100_1310.jpg

just replaced the "dotcom" for what its suppose to be since youtube won't allow urls to be posted in comments . :]

  • i marched in this show and i remember seein how they made those. they sliced a regular disposable camera right down the middle somehow connected a wire & @ the end of the wire was a trigger for the flash. they covered the flash with colored films so that everyone would have a different colored flash. before entering the field we would get a signal from our director to charge our flashes so that it'll go off correctly when it was triggered during our show.

  • talk about something new and different. besides all the alumni corps that open for DCI World Championships, they should showcase something new, and this band, Moanalua High School Marching Band, would be the perfect candidate for that open slot. i believe America has gained total respect for this band, just look at those views/comments/favorites, lol. not only DCI but maybe BOA should invite you guys. seriously, these are talented musicians, they could qualify for DCI Open/International class XP

  • amazing percussion. i watched that video of your drumline, that change tempo one. wow. gotta give props to the battery and how it contributes so much to this awesome band. i know that video was at a slow tempo, and it was super clean. i can totally imagine it at performance speed. i just love to listen to that part and zone out on the winds and pit and only pay attention to the drumline. yeah it's possible. big hit at the company front blew me away the most. anyway good luck this year guys. =]

  • Great job! Keep up the good work!

  • absolutely. many attend these hawaii marching festivals every year to watch many bands perform but i think that many spectators attend to support their children from other bands who are not from moanalua. but many anxiously await until moanalua to get on the field and perform, because they really are a crowd favorite. the whole crowd goes wild, as you can see in this video. cheers/yells/applause happen so many times in the show. such great performers, as well as other marchings bands. good luck.

  • after so many successful shows in the past, such as this one. 1001 Arabian Nights "A Magical Journey" will definitely be another crowd pleaser, as I seen in other videos. By the sound of how the crowd reacts to this band's performance, it's only obvious that many would love to grab the opportunity to watch this band LIVE in person at least once in their lifetime. i wish i could've seen this and their 2006 shows live, must've been great. well GOOD LUCK this season guys. (:

  • oh, we all believe you spikes, lol. their 2008 theme sounds very cool. but i know it will be very original and it'll sound nothing like santa clara vanguard (the songs i mean) moanalua has great/big sound no doubt about that. i wonder if this 2008 show will top their "pirates" or "passion of red" show. maybe. can't wait. i really don't know what mililani's theme is, but since you announced moanalua's, there's no need for keeping it a secret to the public, so i'll tell everyone what it is, asap!

  • well its official, MOANALUA'S 2008 PROGRAM ENTITLED, 1001 ARABIAN NIGHTS "A MAGICAL JOURNEY" is well on it's way. it was suppose to be MOANALUA'S 2007 program but since our main director was on a sabbatical leave, it was agreed that it would wait one year to premiere it in 2008. if you don't believe me, check out the main "MOHSMUSIC" site for details. it will be an exciting season as we will expect to see MOANALUA on the field with a new look on their uniform. let's just wait and see. =]

  • Wow. Just wow. 1 question though. At 6:40, is that just a horn flash, or are they using cameras or flashlights? Because is that's just a horn flash, that's the most impressive one I've EVER seen.

  • it's cool that you think it's a cool horn flash, but acutally it isn't. i think you would need really powerful stadium lights for that to be a horn flash. but i just wanted to answer your question. it's actually camera flashes, that the members use. it is a G.E. used in the 3rd movement. each person has a different color flash representing the treasure/jewels. hence the title "search for the hidden treasure" and i guess they've found it, lol. :)

  • Oh lol, I didnt think it ws a horn flash. I was wondering what they used to do it, but that was a joke about it being a horn flash. lol, hahaha, those would be powerful lights indeed my friend. So cameras eh? Smart.

  • oh wow that performance seriously gave me the shivers (in a good way!) I'm actually thinking about joining Color Guard next year at my high school(I'm a Freshman right now) but I don't know if I can do anything even remotely resembling that! How long have you been in Color Guard? How much should I practice to get ready? This is something I could definitely see myself being in. Though I don't know if it'll clash with my being in chorus... maybe I'll talk to the band director :]

  • Wow

that little zig zaggy part at about 6 minutes at the right hand part of the screen was cool, I couldn't stop watching it.

That was awesome. I love the pirates flag at the end.

    Good job

  • i totally dig that part too. that zigzag part and that reverse big "S" part. ahahah. matter of fact, the whole show was freakin awesome. this band inspires many out there, this would so qualify for drum corps material. phenomenal performance. how do you say thank you in hawaiian? "mahalo" ? for your performance. :)

  • they have alot of color guard we only had like 15 and in winterguard we have 8 but i love the vid.

  • I think it was awesome that they tried and succeeded at such cool stunts. I haven't seen many bands do what they have accomplished.

  • well i guess they have the right to say they were the first high school marching band to play "pirates" it doesn't have to be the original, you could still here the movements that gilroy arranged because all the other pirates videos that are on here made it their own, they added subracted parts. i'm just defending my opinion, if you guys performed it in 2004 than maybe you should post it on here. than you guys can put "1st h.s. marching band" and than this can be counted "second" :]

  • true, i'm on your side tiff. i think this video does have the right to say that they were the "1st high school band" to perform pirates... after all they did post their video and if you click date added, it was posted a long time ago. and this video came a long way look at the views, rate, etc. anyways, it was very awesome program none the less. please no bad comments after this is posted. lol. we do have the right to our own opinions. XD

  • Wow, very nice. Do they ever do BOA or anything?

  • not that i know of. BOA should really consider inviting Moanalua which will be the best candidate from Hawaii to go and do BOA after so many accomplishments and great shows they have put on. If only in 2005 they had the opportunity to go and play "pirates" at that event, it would be amazing. maybe someday in the future, they'll actually perform at a BOA competition. (:

  • not that i know of. BOA should really consider inviting Moanalua which will be the best candidate from Hawaii to go and do BOA after so many accomplishments and great shows they have put on. If only in 2005 they had the opportunity to go and play "pirates" at that event, it would be amazing. maybe someday in the future, they'll actually perform at a BOA competition. (:

  • can u tell me what's the name of pirate's school?

  • you mean the name of this marching band video you are watching? they're called "moanalua high school" lol. don't really know if i'm answering your question but i gave it a shot. :)

  • yes you answered my question i just wanted to know the name of their school thanks a lot man¡¡¡

  • i don't see them standing in a spot for a very long time doing their routine. they're either marching or hauling ass across the field for a flag exchange, which i think most guards have a problem doing while performing their routine (marching). what ever their color guard instructor is doing, keep up the good work. XP

  • if only there were a video that just focused on their guard, i seen their show many times in person and it is very complicated work that they are doing, no lie. we competed with them & they received 1st throughout the season. and i thought we had a more complicated routine. this guard is very disciplined and it shows every time they enter the field for competition. & i think they are one of the best guards on video on youtube who display their capabilities to the fullest. good job.

  • true, you can say it looks like easy work but if you think about it, when it comes to color guard, i don't think nothing is easy. what does a color guard judge look for when judging color guard? all in sync? perfect timing on aerials? technicality? marching on time? angles of the poles? etc. :)

  • if i were to rate your schools history of shows for the past 8 years, here how i would place them:

    1. 2005- pirates

    2. 2003- space show

    3. 2006- passion of red

    4. 2004- west side story

    5. 2002- incantation

    6. 2007- tower of power

    7. 2001- malaguena

    8. 2000- arabian nights

just my opinions, how would you guys rate their shows???

  • here's how i would rate them.

    1. 2006

    2. 2005

    3. 2007

    4. 2004

    5. 2003

i just watched those shows, the more current ones, but i have yet to watch the older ones. for some reason i'm more drawn to their 2006 show than their 2005. although their pirates show was great. this band has made me realize the meaning of dedication and hardwork. great job. 0_0b

  • We played pirates, like fore years ago ^_^

  • you played gilroy's work of pirates? what band were you from when you played pirates?

  • I saw a high school attempt to do this once... they sucked! You have a lot of members on your guard. I come from a school with a lot of band members, I think we have almost 300 total. And our guard is, like, 13 members strong. What's up with the easy guard work?

  • are you referring to this band's color guard work? because i think that it isn't easy work especially for a guard of this size. the stereotype against large numbers of color guard is that they can't do routines in sync and this guard has proved it wrong. it was together and i think that the choreography was absolutely of high degree. i'm just saying but this has got to be one of the most that impressed me. ^_^

  • There were points where they were plainly off. The guard I'm in is small, true, but we've seen large guards perform and you could see when they were off. You really can't see it in this vid, unless you really watch. The guard I'm in, because we're small, we take a lot of risks in our work. This guard, the work was pretty easy, compared to the things we do.

  • um...good for you?

  • 1PaperfantoRuleAll - "easy guard work", huh? You're only 17 years old and it's obvious that you still have a lot to learn in the world. As far as I can tell, no one here has ever dissed you or your band. Tell you what - reveal the name of your marching band here and let the YouTube community view your band's videos (if any are even posted) and compare your guard work with ours. Then come back here and comment. Aloha.

  • Yeah, that's just a bit better than my school's performance.

    HOLY COW THAT'S AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

  • the quick flash ripple amazed me lol

    is this a 5A band?

...58 CLARINETS! and i thought my clarinet section was a lot, but of course your band must be bigger. big as their flute section but a bit bigger.

my favorite part is from 5:52 to 6:42

how did you guys do the flash ripple? use the instruments or a prop on ur uniform?

  • i remember someone asked the same question about those flashes. someone responded that it was home made flash devices given to every wind in the band. every member had a different color representing the different color of treasure/jewels what ever you may call it. hence the title of the 3rd movement, "search for the hidden treasure" to get a close look at the actual device you can view their album on their main site. under the category OIA Bandfest.

  • o...that's interesting...o.O that's pretty kewl tho =]

  • We have cleaner drill, but this band has more power. But then again, our band is half the size of this....

  • SWEEEEEET!!!!!

  • If you watched Moanalua's 2003 show, the Trumpet Soloist in the last movement before the company front, marched Drum Corps. I believe he was one of the leads in Phantom Regiment 2007. what a way to represent Hawaii. :) Although I think they should've get a higher placement than 4th.

  • I've heard the original recording of this from the Gary P. Gilroy publications cd.

You guys added more music, you guys decided to take off the super jesusly high notes, and at one part in the beginning you take it slower than it should be.

but it's still an amazing show none the less.

You guys did an amazing job.

  • i've heard the original recording too. since gary p. gilroy does custom work, they have the right to alter his work. lol. sounded like they removed the original 3rd movement and added a slow piece. their 2nd movement because in the original recording, there wasn't no slow pieces. that's what i assume. but none the less, it is the most amazing high school marching band on youtube. phenomenal job!!! :)

  • true. moanalua always has a fast opener and usually the 2nd movement is a slow piece. i think that one part in the 1st movement with the change tempo if you listened to the original recording, remained the same because of the color guard choreography. we were also told that our main director talked to gary gilroy about altering some parts. he removed the original 3rd movement and added a ballad in there. =)

  • I know that, but I was just saying.

There's a part in the beginning where it speeds up near the end.

  • the high notes are there, but are faint. try putting some earphones on, maybe you can hear it better. :]

  • just wanted to share this with the 2006 moanalua high school color guard. just follow the directions below and paste it in the url box.

before "/photos" enter "flickr.[com]" like a regular url. too bad youtube won't allow you to post direct links to stuff. :/

  • you guys are grammy winning!! awesome job =)

  • that was amazing!

  • 2006 Moanalua Menehune Marching Band & Color Guard members. Bryce posted up the 2006 Passion Of Red High View Show on the main music site. Go look in the videos section. Auright! chee

  • Jesus... are all american schools like this?

  • nah. i think you have to search on youtube to see the best of the best. just like this band. amazing huh? what's amazing is that this band is from hawaii. and you would never expect a band from hawaii to be SO popular on youtube. but you gotta admit that after watching this video, you had to watch it again and again. :)

  • Moanalua is the first Marching Band in the World to Premiere this work by Gary Gilroy. Gilroy just released his 2008 Marching Band Shows, on his main website, just google "Gary Gilroy Publications." "Passion of Red" is now available to Bands across the U.S. You need an account to access the Professional recording and sample score to this show. [FYI] Gilroy renamed the show "El Diablo de Las Lomas." The recording has no Pit Percussion in it and the 4th movement isn't Malaguena. Take a listen. :)

  • if you read in the caption to the right, it says that Fresno State performed this in 2003.

  • i think that masuno kid is referring to their 2006 show. lol :)
