@ClaymoreQuickScoper Well airsoft costs a lot of money (Correct me if I'm wrong, never had an airsoft gun before) and it could probably poke your eye out while making war videos. Well, there's this one guy called Drac (LordDraconical) ,he's 21 and he still plays Nerf. I don't see why you think Nerf is too childish.

@ClovisKoo I don't have anything against Nerf, I think it's fun to mess around with you friends while shooting foam darts at each other. But airsoft is very intense and engaging, far more so than Nerf. If you have the proper eye and face protection, there's no problem. Also, if you plan to make a movie, you don't even have to shoot the gun. Just have it unloaded, fake some recoil when you shoot, add some muzzle flash in AfterEffects, and voila. Uber-realistic war video.

@ClovisKoo And airsoft guns can be had for as cheaply as $10-$40 for pistols, and $50-$180 for an inexpensive rifle. If you want the best of the best to use in skirmishes, you'll have to shell out a bit more, I'm afraid.

Yes, airsoft is a bit more expensive and more high-maintenance, but it's totally worth it, at least in my opinion.
