I was stationed in Berlin in 67-68, C-3-6, at McNair Barracks. I just came home from a visit and, oh, how Berlin has changed with the wall now gone. But there were still remains of memories of 42 years ago. Thank you for this additional memory.

@rwrynerson Faschisten = fascists. I guess the poster was baffled to hear the song because he didn't know that it was the DDR-Grenztruppen song.

Cool video. This was before my time, but Berlin seems like a lucky military assignment to have back in the late 1960's.
You could have been sent to Da Nang during the Tet offensive or patrol the Korean DMZ with an M-16 and a rucksack.

I made a vid of my visit to the Soviet War Memorial in 1960...I only had 2-3 days and back to Sembach .
