in casio's main site, I found the g9010 but not the gw9010, adnd in the g-shock main site I found the gw9010 but not the g9010.

should I be worried?

@labalbi I have a GW-M5600-1ER and the automatic time-synching facility can be switched on or off so I'm sure this Mudman will be the same. Hopefully the watch will be synched when you receive it (you may need to buy it mail order from the USA and ask the seller to make sure it is synched and then switched to manual before they ship it.) Hopefully the 'G' will stay.

I just got an AMW330-7AV today. Nice looking watch; pretty happy with the purchase. It has a resin strap. Just wanna know whether or not the strap could B changed 2 a stainless steel one, and if so, wht is/are the risk(s) involved. The AMW330-1AV has the stainless steel band. Really wanted to get that one, but I couldn't find it, and I had been searching for a watch for the past two weeks and I didn't wanna wait any longer.

I have this model, coming up to about a year old now. Everyday work watch and so far survived the abuse apart from a couple of metal fleck melted into the surface of the face from angle grinder sparks. Solar power works great only once has dropped below full power indication. I appreciated the atomic clock updates. I like the 1 button press to read flick to UTC time (radio ham). Rally timer is pointless to me but the countdown feature is useful as is multi alarms times.

Riseman has Barometer, temp and Alt features with basic timer and chrono. The mudman offers alot more custom Timing features countdown to 1000hr stopwatch. Plus its made for Dirty.

@Carpy1984 the Mudman, Riseman and Gulfman are well known in photographs of the Army, Navy, and even police. Solar Atomic could even be a better choice because the time keeps to the second - Synced with Atomic once a week will keep it within a second of UTC. Battery should last 5yrs if you wear it everyday and in some Sunlight. The batteries will fail earlier if left months at a time and not recharged. Battery cost 8-20 dollars online, and a bit of skill. Or about 70 at a Shop or Casio.

I've got it now about 6-7 months and this watch is so far the best gshock from casio. Atomic time keeping works very well, during the winter battery level stays on medium for most of the time due to lack of sun (solar powered) but that's not a problem. If you take it off and leave it, it switches off to save battery!! it's just awesome

G Shock is by the best watch with the best prices. They are superb for the military. When I deployed to Iraq in 2007 I left with a G100-1BV and I'm still wearing it. Being an Infantryman I can't stand cheap watches, so this next deployment coming up to Afghanistan I plan on upgrading to the Military Mudman. They issued us some Suunto's *typo I know*, but everyone kept wearing the Shocks. The prices are the best, KHS charges 250-500 for a watch thats analog and all it does is light up.

This Casio has solar powered battery. This means, that there is a rechargable betery inside the watch. After long using of it that battery will be used too much, so it won't work properely. But don't worry - you need a lot of years, maybe even decades to replace battrery. I have this watch more than a mont and I am very happy having it . I paid 100 euro.

The white on black (Negative Display) could be a bit hard to read at night. Good for outdoors in daylight.

Negative displays are definitely not as easy to read as regular displays, I wouldnt get one as a daily wearer as they are more difficult to read at night.

Thanks for posting this review, it was really informative and usefull to me. This latest version of the classic Mudman is my favorite G-Shock to date, as it has the ultra durable and sealed Mudman outer case plus the the latest Atomic 6 Multi-Band time keeping with Tough Solar technology.

I liked it so much, that even though I have many watches and really don't need another, I just had to have it, and one is now on order.
