And no funeral scene. Sorry again but it was the season finale, and they only get a half hour to wrap up the season, would it have been remotely satisfying if the whole finale was a show about Ashby's funeral? Think about it how much of the plot would be just left unresolved. Proves that most people staring at a tv are truly vegetables just gazing off not thinking whatsoever other than eww bright colors and Ashby's fun, I want a whole finale about just him.

Jesus people he didn't really die, one would think so from all these eulogy-ish comments. And for everyone sad that the character is gone, it was pretty clear all season that he was a character created for the purposes of season 2's theme, just like hank's 3 ho's in season 3, I'm sorry but what would his purpose on the show be after the biography was finished? It's not like Hank would want to keep him anywhere near Karen longer than needed..

the first time when c18 died in dragonball z when i was younger and fallen in love with her

and the second time where lew sniffed hist last line.

its so fucking sad. i really love him as a brow! scrubs called this phenomenon guylove. damn without him the show wont go onn. :(((

My condolences to you and his family and friends. Lew Ashby was a f*cking legend. I saw him at a gig recently. what a rockstar! I guess he lived like one aswell.

I was really hoping that he'd get revived and not die. He's a great character played by a great actor.

Still, I understand the lump scare, having a friend die, and a close friend's divorce are supposed to make Hank realize he needs to mend his own fucking and punching ways.

I guess that ends the Great Gatzby storyline. Sort of saw it coming but still doesn't make it any less shitty. Lew made the second season and it will be hard for the writers to fill that void next season.

Lew is on the previews next week. Must be his ghost. Sucks he died. Hank will write a great book about the whole experience. I'm sad the last show for a year is this Sunday.
