I think Duran Duran were listening 2 alot of Prince around this time ('87-'88), listen to 'Hot Thing' by Prince on his essential 1987 album 'Sign O The Times'. It definitely influenced this track by the Duran guys as the initial drum loop pattern is pretty much identical. Nevertheless, a wicked track!

I have been a fan since my teenage years and will be till I croak. Not only is their music amazing, but their videos are fabulous looking too. I highly recommend listening and watching the different versions of "Reach Up for the Sunrise", it is a real trip!!! Duran Duran. Depeche Mode, A-ha, bands just don't come this good anymore.... Am I showing my years here ;-) or what!
