in an old interview shortly after soundgarden broke up Chris Cornell said he was glad soundgarden ended and he probably woudln't want it to start up again because he said it would probably just be for money and he didnt want that as an inspiration. so since he said that i am not quite sure i am glad that soundgarden is back together. they ended well. and Chris Cornell thought so too.

@whogivesaflyinfock well, certainly, Chris might be in it just for the money, but I strongly doubt that because their summer tour was very well recieved, a lot of people noted that they were genuinely happy about being Soundgarden again, etc. Also, only Black Rain so far was released and it was a Badmotorfinger cut with some re-recording, so you can't really judge them by that. I guess only time and their new album will tell...
