the rx8s all about the driver,you need to know how to use the rev-band correctly,the engine ports have a purpose(which you notice on a track)get this right and it feels like what is technically the most responsive engine always on boost,this is why there is such a variation in all of the youtube videos,anyway,great job to the rx8+s2k for hanging all the way..&handing the forced induction AudiTT its ass like that,this is an example of 2 of the best&most characterfull N/A engines money can buy..

haha couldn't even hear the s2k..yet the camera was inside it! the rx8 was in the lead from the very start all the way till the end of 3rd gear..that's 96MPH..yet its not designed for drags! I'd chalk that up to a street win..not many roads would provide this long traffic free straights.. I have nothing against the s2k, quite the contrary, but their advantage is their weight, which is around 250lb less, and simple mods release more hp, yet look at this race..

I got mine up to 156 MPH with the governors on. I later took them off and did some

ECU mods then added a TT intercooler magnaflow exhaust cold air intake got it up to 187 MPH with 6th gear at 6,500 RPM and the car redlines at 10,300 RPM. Great car. Kills on gas but who cares it ain't my daily driver.

it would be great engine , because it has the fuel consuption of a 3.2 v6 engine , you would be better of with a 3.2 v6 engine , with torque , and easy to fix in any non expensive workshop if anything goes wrong you may save some petrol also as that small 1.3 is a binge drinker

@niceboy60 The rotary engine is very simple to fix, in fact easier than most piston engines in my opinion, seeings how I'm 18 and have rebuilt my 12a by myself, I'm pretty sure almost anyone can.

The engine may not have much torque but can be run up to well over 8k RPM consistently provided the right seals.

This car is definitely a car for the tracks, the body stabilization of the car is spectacular, hence why you see them beating s2k's and sometimes 350z's when raced on the tracks, it sticks to the ground, less flex in the body, less body roll. It's just well balanced when it comes to taking corners. Sure, not that fastest, torqueiest engine, but still a blast to drive
