After clarification from one of the Plato developers it was discovered that this was the voice of one of the recording engineers that was caught on the recording. The engineer was saying "tsugiikimasu ", the Japanese for "next", indicating to that he was going to play the next chord.

I can hear a number of different things when I listen for it, like "I am Kira" "Don't kill us" "Forgive us" and so on.

I believe because we're listening for it, we're imagining it's saying that specific phrase.

Try listening to a subliminal message video, were it plays music backwards, with your eyes closed. You won't hear half the stuff people imagine they hear.

Also, for me, ever since I read madoc's message I can't stop hearing "I am kira" in the message... >_>

Go to Change Palette, then Edit. Then tap A on the piano to the right. Then you'll see A6 at the bottom. Make sure to hold it until you hear "tsugi-ikimas". So cool.^_^

Hi, this is Seth Delackner, lead programmer on Jam Sessions. I have to say I am a bit surprised by all this reaction. The "secret message" is that during studio recording of this chord stroke, immediately after playing the sound, the guitarist goofed up and said (IN JAPANESE) "ok, next chord" (次行きます, which is pronounced tsugi-ikimas）and the recording engineer didn't notice. We noticed this before release but found it amusing and left it in as an easter egg.

I have tried, and it most certainly did do it for me. Are you certain you're hitting a6? Also I couldn't really hear it at all through headphones. I took them off and put my ear right next to the speaker to hear it best.
