  • Beautiful! You both have such magical chemistry. :D

  • perfect

  • wow they are actually really good

  • quem disse que pra dar um show de dança do ventre, precisa ser magrinha, bonita e nova? ARRAZARAMMMMMMMMMMM :)

  • In Bahrain there's channel dedicated to old and new belly dancing movies and shows.A lot of the dancers were 50 pounds heavier then this girl but they wore their belts higher on the sides especially in the old movies. The new shows had thin girls like the other girl in this video and the ones that traveled around the world were really skinny. Traditionally they were big women because in the old days that was a sign of being well feed and fertile. They did not want to pay to see a "beggar" dance.

  • I love this! Can anyone tell me the name of the piece they are dancing to?

  • I love this video. The two of you have such great chemistry with each other and you both look so confident - like proud matriarchs.

  • ladies, I must say, you have wonderful, beautiful, perfect belly dance bodies. I'm 16 and I dance with my mon sometimes. I love seeing someone who isn't really young dancing. lovely dance. I have a vid of my first performance. Erica Mars. first video :)

  • ATS Rules. I love it!!!

  • IMITATORS! EH......

  • You can tell the lady with the glasses is having fun :)

  • love dis dancers! they r awesome!

  • Yes belly dancers are suppose to have a full figure, have you ever seen Sadie? She's not a skinny twig, traditionally the dancers where suppose to be well built girls, it's not belly dancing if the girls have nothing to shake, if you want some boring trashy skank weighing 92 pounds dancing for you go to a low rent strip club :D

  • @XxVeiinxX it is entirely possible to have a preference without trashing others. How is putting down thin dancers any more acceptable than criticizing dancers with a fuller figure? If you're preaching body acceptance, it should extend to everyone.

  • @fioredigioia Sure it is, but I was just stating a few facts

  • Absolutely Feminine...

This is Magic..... I love their confidence and attunement to the music.

  • This is hot, I don't care what you say

  • ewwwwwww saddie.. kaya... shakira... there all real belly dances... this/// eww

  • @4teensanime Shakira is a dance paraphraser for brainless, deadbeat teenies like you.

  • @sbrooks0178 ..shakira is a waste of time..i´m offended by her careless use of bellydance..

  • @IlianaRoxtar Me too!

  • @4teensanime

SHAKIRA ALMOST BROKE HER BACK BY DOING THOSE UNNATURAL MOVEMENTS. SHE USED TO BE A LOT CHUBBIER, BUT NOW SHE MUST STAY SKINNY1 WHAT A SHAME!

  • dynamic, fresh and feminie dancing !

  • they are dressed like a romanian gipsy

  • I like this style of belly dancing. It was a great routine and so well done!

  • its beautiful :3

  • Sorry, if people already made this question: What song is it???

  • I think Belly dancing is a very sexy form of art...just like tahitian dance...awesome for the body!

  • Amazing! Great Job!

  • asombroso!! estas mujeres si son unas verdaderas bailarinas de Tribal!! muy muy bien!!! exelente coreografia, exelente vestuario, exelente audio! todo me encanto..

EL TRIBAL ES HERMOSO, LO AMO...

amazing! these women if they are genuine Tribal dancers! very very well! excellent choreography, great costumes, great music! I loved it all ..

    THE TRIBAL IS BEAUTIFUL.

  • You don't need to have a fat belly to be a bellydancer nor do you need to have a flat one. There are women of all shapes in my class. The notion that you need to have a belly because it is called 'belly' dancing is foolish, considering that is not even it's proper name.

  • Lindas!

  • What is the name of this song?

  • real belly dancers are full, not weak ..... follow Egyptian dancers, they really are belly dancers.

  • @bibbylika

Not totally true as the last time I was in Misr, the famous dancers were in great shape

muscular and fit . They could not be called fat by any means. Fit, feminine and healthy.

  • My teacher would chastise me whenever I lost weight. She would screech, "It's called 'belly' dancing for a reason!'"

  • people belly dance only suit to hose people who r fat.....thats y its belly dance......

  • @APPYGREEN1 wow

  • need a belly to bellydance, that is where it gets its name people. If the "bigger" girl keeps dancing she won't be big for long! It takes a lot to dance like this. It's much tougher than a 20 minute workout! Get up and just try one of the moves, you'll see.

  • It don't really matter if ur fat or skinny (its always best to have sum meat on ya tho LOL) but if u know how to dance it the DO IT!!!!! as long u look good to u LOL!!!

  • See! The bigger lady dance much better and she doesnt need to be a size 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc.

  • I agree. belly dancing is about celebrating the female form, its not about looking sexy....Thats just a perk lol

These women are awsome. Kudos to them for haveing the guts to get up there and dance even though they dont fit modern societys idea of sexy.

  • I love this video. The energy of the crowd is great, and you two women are amazing. I hope to be as good as you someday. thank you for posting this video :)

  • i think the bigger girl dances better actually

  • absolutely amazing...really enjoyed watching their perforamace not too hard and simple to follow yet very well executed...loved it

  • Wow! This was really beautiful and the ladies were in great sync with each other. I love the fact that they weren't super skinny. Just proves that anyone of any body type can do this.

  • @39Bosski still a little too chubby, belly dancers don't need to be skinny, but need a little tummy and butt. Sorry, they are gross.

  • @gomezesmorticia1

Bellydancing is not meant to be danced by the super skinny. HENCE..."Belly" dancing.

  • @ayla106 Actually bellydance is made to be danced by ALL sizes, big and small. Big and super skinny. We don't discriminate on size.

  • @THETribalDancer

Oh gosh! I hope that my comment wasn't taken as discrimination. That was SOO not my intent. I was just stating my preference. When I see belly dancing, for me, it is more beautiful when the women actually have chubby bellies that jiggle as they move. To me, it just seems so much more sensual. :)

  • Some of the bigger laddies have the most graceful movements.

  • wow so beautiful!

  • impresionante! hermosa coreografia! felicitaciones desde México

  • the " yipping " is called Zaghareet, it is done all over Africa and parts of Asia such as the Middle East and India, it has been done for thousands of years as a way of cheering on a performance and for religious ceremonies. It is very popular to use zaghareets in belly dancing to cheer the dancer on especially in egyptian/African dance. Before u say something stupid on the Internet try researching the topic you are about to comment on.

  • @starRavenCraft

Actually, there is a difference between zaghareet and yip. Zaghareet is traditional exclamation for weddings and joyous occasions or sometimes even grief. "yip" is sometimes used as vocal cue in ATS bellydance ... not my favorite b/c it is kinda cheezy ... but sometimes you need a vocal cue.

  • i thought the person was talking about zaghareets because of the "Xena" comment above, i do realize the difference between " yip ' and " Zaghareets " , i guess because i am an exact person and being a fan of Xena and also being person of African Ethiopian and Tuareg ethnicity it kinda makes me more alert in terms of these things, but I understand ur point, and i LOVE ATS

  • hey do you know the name of the song??? i really wanna know :) thanks

  • Music by Helm-'Amel' ,from the CD 'Itneen'

  • thanks a lot :)

  • wow... they're simply fantastic at this. :0

  • AMAZING! VERY TALENTED

  • anyone know what the music is??? YOu ladies are great, it's such a joy to watch you.

  • This song is Baladi Unplugged by Helm

    :)

  • u guys are beautiful!!!

  • This is fantastic..I just started learning this style of dance I hope to shimmy like that someday!!! Good job ladies!!

  • lovely dancing - very nice moves that fit the music.

  • Bravo! Lovely dancing, costumes and enthusiasm. Great job ladies.

  • Wouldn't it be great if people could just enjoy each dancer for who he or she IS, instead of putting our own wants/desires/insecurities on them? When YOU are the artist, THEN you get to have what you want!

Beautiful execution of the choreography! I really enjoyed your performance!

  • I love it! what cool costumes..get so many differant ways to wear choli and tribal bras nice to see your style as ref! Keep up the beautiful art.

  • it doesn't matter!!

this is one of the best parts of bellydancing :)

  • Girls.................I think you are BOTH beautifully talented, with emphasis on BOTH of those words xxxxxx

  • Well, while lighter dancers are, to some, more aesthetically pleasing, really with belly dancing it's better to have a bit of weight in order to see and do some of the moves better, in my opinion. But still, I understand where you're coming from :)

  • These two are awesome!

  • great performance

  • Oh my God!!! I loved!!! U're amazing! My congratulations!!! :D

  • Please don't take this personally, because I enjoyed your dancing very much, but I think it looks better to perform without wearing eye glasses. Maybe a pair of contacts for performing? I used to be "blind as a bat" before I got my eye surgery, and, when dancing, Just had to be careful not to dance off the stage!! Anyway, beautiful dancing!

  • I agree. The one major distraction from their performance is the glasses. Otherwise the performance would seem alot more authentic.

  • These women did a good job! Thanks for posting this.

  • the 'bigger lady' has really got some moves on her

  • Lindo bailan de donde son ....y con que elegancia me encanta la de lentes ...linda

    muy bien chicas

  • Aplausos, bailan muy bien. Es un agrado verlas. Felicitaciones.

  • hey this is great.... didn't charmin and athene have another tribal duet posted on youtube??? if anyone can help me find it i'd be grateful.... thanks!!

  • Wonderful dancing! Keep it up <3

Now this is the bellydancing I grew up with! a very creative motherly atmosphere where women of all ages are inspired to dance.

I've looked up to dancers just like this my whole life! ^___^ At the age of 3 my mother and her friends took me in and let me express my self on stage. I feel proud to be a natural women to this day ^___^

  • cool!!! dont give up and dance more :D

  • Go on girls, show em how its done.

  • yeah, the little kid is awesome, :-D

  • fantastic :-)

  • I love that little kid out there yelling hopa!

  • It's nece to see women on my age having fun and looking fantastic. I am a new belly dancer, and you both inspired me. lovin the costumes also. look forward to seeing more of you both.

  • belly dance girls need to have a belly, have u ever seen a skinny ass bitch belly dance? oh my god all the bones that stick out.bleghh!!! disgusting!! i love belly dance, with natural womans:-)

  • Belly dancers were meant to have stomach's like that .... its only now that ppl like u think its "sexier" for them to be skinny

  • Wise words!!!!!!!

  • @1Tara1 Actually no. People were not ment to be that overweight even in the slightest. Though neither should they be too thin. I find most women painfully thin these days to be seen as "normal" and that is horrifuing. Humans are not supposed to be overweight or too thin going by BMI (making acception for muscle mass as well obviously). Its obvious when a women, and man, is a healthy weight. Just as it is obvious when they are too overweight or thin for their age. Its a balance.

  • What is this song called ?

  • I was truly inspired by this video... I am wanting to learn to belly dance for exercise, and while I am a girl of what I like to call "strong Irish build" and have no desire to be thin, I want to be healthier. I am very much into a more bohemian lifestyle, and oh, this looks like so much fun!

GREAT video, done by gorgeous natural women! I am so inspired to learn! Well done, ladies! You are just wonderful!

  • Aw, thank y'all!

  • WOW... these two girls are fantastic!

  • a real woman is volumptous.having a a belly is fine.like one said on here, women were and some still are like that.something to be proud of.

  • I think they both did QUITE well!

  • Isso é MARA

  • super toll!!!

  • super toll!!!

  • so what?

  • OMG! You have a little brain! Shes an amazing dancer and beautiful.

  • uhm, you know belly dancers werent supposed to be thin right, they started out like that

  • she is supposed to have a big belly. ^^UUUU

  • She looks so funny dancing with glasses but I can see she loves dancing and i liked a lot this choreo, nice!!!

  • I have the same problem with glasses. I love my glasses and I haaaate contacts....so, I feel kind of odd sometimes.

  • This has been one of my favorites since the first time I seen it!

  • Wooooow, I like it. No I love it its great

    keep with the good work

  • Wow very good!!!

  • Terrific job! The routine just looked like so much fun - I wanted to jump into the video and join in!

  • Beautiful dance ladies.. I really appreciated the mirroring work you did in this piece.

  • what is that noise people are doing at 0:57??

  • glorialucia the answer to your question is posted.

  • cheering....?

  • no it has an actual name for the sound the audience is making... apparently its called zagareet

  • Yes that's what it is called. A way I have heard it taught is say "lee lee lee" in your regular voice, then once you are comfortable with that, raise you pitch as high as you can comfortably and say it fast as you can "lelelelelelelele". It takes practice, lol...I practice in the car on my commute.:)

  • i will like to know the sound name

  • doumbeklatino~The sound the audience is making is called a ZAGAREET. It's a trilling sound made with the tongue and voice that is to cheer the dancer on. It's celebratory. Everyone should go back to page 11 and look for "Junkwitch's" comments on this dance. She is one of the dancers in the video.

  • oh wow thanks

  • Actually, I ment the name of the song. I want this song!!!! By the way I would like a ringtone with ZAGAREET but I can't find an MP3 file that sounds good enough without any music or background noises... simply the zagareet. If anyone knows where I can download it, please let me know!!!!

  • I think my favorite thing was the posture, my god you guys keep your elbows perfect!

This is still my favorite Tribal video to sit and watch I know the song well too and love to listen to it

but besides that it probably is seriously one of my favorite videos to sit and watch

it reminds me why I loved Tribal dance in the first place :)

  • That was amazing!

  • Wow!!!! That was beautiful!! The transitions

(and spins) are amazing and your moves are really spectacular. Sometimes I wasn't sure if this was improv or not, the choreography is so smooth and together! Great job, ladies!

  • I never get tired of watching this performance! I love how earthy and grounded it is. And the costumes are beautiful.

I'm not into what I call the "Las Vegas" belly dance where there's nothing but glitter, a bikini and scarf trying to be skirt! Oh... and high heels! *lol*

This dance is sensual, but so classy with a traditional feel. I simply LOVE it.

  • Beautiful technique ladies! Loved your costumes and the dance routine. (Just smile a little more!)

  • you ladies are great. Your bodies are beatiful and natural.

  • Fatty thanks you for the compliment. LOL!

  • I think belly dancing u have to have a belly!! and she has an awesome belly. I think that accentuated the dance. I wanna learn too!!!

  • If you werent brainwashed by the medias idea of what a woman should look like. Too bad for you!

  • wow! complimenti davvero...proprio brave e coordinate!! bel lavoro!!

  • WOW, WOW, AND WOW this is BRILLIANT!! Please POST SOME MORE VIDEOS !!! and If you dont mind me asking where did you learn this from??
