  • Soft and smooth player even reminiscent of Larry Bird.

  • Comment removed

  • good job iran

  • you spelled his name wrong. He has 3 d's in his name. Haddadi.

  • love the commentary

0:53 "in your face" with his accent

  • Damn, Hadadi is a beast!

  • i proud of u iranian man

  • Hadaaaaaaadiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the defense is sooooooo bad

  • I've tasted money and freedom in America and I can't wait to leave. Why? because you're only happy where your heart is, & in America heart only comes in the packages of chocolate.

Iran is not Kenya you know. We have nicer homes (paid off not bank owned), paid-off cars, best organic fruits & vegis on earth, clothes handpicked from best of the world and freedom to do everything that's decent and none-political.

NBA is nice but if you invest billions in any sport it becomes better than the rest.

  • cant wait to lave america? c'mon you cant really leave america. funny, you are despising america yet you living there comfortably! Where your heart is? oh its just a sympathy of your country of origin that you cant afford to go bback. There are no Playboy Magazines there!

  • Are you sure I'm living here comfortably?!

I don't despise America I just prefer older culture, warmer people, none-commercial, and old fashioned kind of living, like some of Europe or Iran. I can afford to go back and I will after I finish what I'm doing.

By the way I could get every banned item including playboy, liquor, drugs, prostitute all with 1 phone call within 1 hour delivered to me guaranteed in Iran at the age of 14.

That's what's good about people being warm and together.

  • I like you! Really! I hope you are not fundamentalist! Keep it up! I think you are a GOOD man!

  • Thank you,

The only thing I'm fundamentalist in is humanity.

  • @Hesam0000

I honestly would love to visit Iran, a country I have read so much about. I am sure yiu could get all the stuff you mention (not forbidden before the revolution), bu what happens if you get caught by the policie with it? How much does it cost above the normal price?

  • No one catches you unless some neighbor calls police. There is no "Normal price" for banned stuff so it's priced reasonably high, for example 1 bottle of wine costs about $100. It's the same as buying Marijuana in the US. People don't mind the price.

  • A decente bottle of wine, costs 4€ in Portugal, a playboy 4€ and prostss startting at 50€. I suppose somet things improved since the Shah Pahlevi left, but the living standards surely degraded with the Islamic Revolution and subsequent Teocracy. Best wishes for a superb country and I would love to see HH receive the NBA champions honours in the White House.

  • Yes, the price of $1 went from 7 toman to 1000 toman. Not many people are looking for wine and playboy in Iran. Only teens and younger people looking to get crazy.

    Some things better remain costly.

This regime will go as all crappy regimes have in the past 2500 years of constitutional government in Iran.

It all depends on Haddadi himself. He may give up chasing the dream after 2 years of being treated as leftover, last-resort bench player or he may keep hope alive and proceed forward.

  • why filipinos are TRYING HARD to play BASKETBALL? they dont have any chance in a competetive level, filipinos are not a basketball built.. they acquired philshams but do nothing and always losing.... they waste moneys financing players that cant compete..stop day dreaming , imagine we cant win in FIBA!!! we need to wake up and think abour other sports that were have more potential.....

  • He sucks...sorry but he really stinks he's not going to make it in the NBA..........just saying

  • He only started playing basketball a little while ago. He was a soccer player in his town only because of his height he changed to basketball. If he played for a decade in highschool and earlier like most NBA players he would have been much faster now. Still, if Grizzlies give him more than 2 minutes per game he can contribute more than the rest. Mark Gasol can't hardly get 5 points in his 22 minutes/game.

  • @Hesam0000

Solid skills, even a nice jumper. Looks well built, must improve on quickness and be more agressive on defence.

  • He's a shy 24 year old who can hardly speak English. I bet he's even afraid to be too aggressive on the floor thinking he might hit someone and upset them. Right now I like his rebounds, blocking, fouls at right times, and defense. His quickness needs improving but in his last game I've noticed him gaining muscles & moving faster. I'm sure as he learns English & uses American gyms, within 2 years, he'll become a Dunken-type player. But I hate 2see Grizzlies coach giving Thabeet & gasol his time.

  • i don't see why he's complaining about his playing time with the grizs. his skill set isn't great and i doubt his defense is even existent. hell he's not going to be playing when marc gasol and hasheem thabeet are obviously superior. and then even stephen hunter is better than him too.

  • So did you watch the game vs. Warriors?

  • i got his shoe

  • GO LEBANOOOONNNN

  • yah, maybe next year LOL

  • the grizzlies don't play him because they have marc gasol and darko milicic. two already capable NBA centers. i'd rather see hamed on the court than darko next season, though. darko's listed as C/F, so maybe they'll run a bigger lineup and hamed will get some minutes.

  • Just hope that he does put a strap on when he plays against Kobe...

    Dark... So Dark.....

  • This guy was owned by 6'7 forward Kerby Raymundo during Tokushima Fiba Asia...he fouled out guarding Raymundo..Hamed only scored 3 during that game...FYI he was guarded by a much smaller defender 6'9 Asi Taulava and 6'7 Kerby Raymundo and Hamed is 7'2...imagine... :)

  • But they arent playing in the NBA right now?

FYI... Asi is not even from philippines...

He is too tall and too slow for Rugby, and he gets the different types of Shit in Tonga thats why he choses to settle as a Filipino. Your stats is so biased, you make filipinos look bad....

  • check the last fiba asia game on the net dude and you will see..

  • I LOVE HIM! HAMED DOOSET DARIM. he's awesome. i play basketball too and i'm honoured to be in the same sport as him. these guys are such an inspiration to me. HAMED DOOSET DARIM. HAMED DOOSET DARIM

  • they dont play him even though the grizzlies suck and get like 4 minutes of garbage time each game. The only time they played him for 20 minutes and he scored 15.

  • The Grizzlies dont suck. they don't play Hadadi because he is completely lost on a NBA court. However, he has improved, he can actually contribute now. He should get more time next season.

  • the opposing D was pretty weak.

  • not sure, but i guess not to competitive enough for the nba. peace out iraninan bros.

  • hammed hadadi IN MEMPHIS REPRESTING IRAN!!! MITEREKONE!!!

  • worst commentator ever!

  • Reminds me of a young Ilgauskus. He might do just as good in the NBA.

  • hey misheelkhen

Do you know how many people flow from poland to Iran when Hitler fucked poland? some people are just idiot like u

  • :) ha! did u c the dude at around 2:54 mark? I kinda like Hamed's game. He can shoot & he's mobile on offense but it doesn't look like he's touched a weight in his entire life. However he's only 23 & if he's given 2-3yrs in an NBA workout program you never know how his body/game might develop, especially since big-men mature at slower pace anyway.

  • Well, you're definitely right about the phrase "slower pace" in reference to the guy.

  • nice game.

one question. if he makes it to the NBA. Would he be the only muslim in the NBA or are any other player muslim as well?

  • shareef abdur-rahim (one time nba all-star,gold medalist olympian)..just that he's been injured lately

  • Shareef Abdur Rahim and I think Nazr Muhammad but don't quote me on that

  • duuh~...hakeem olajuwon is a muslim too.

  • Proportionate response.

  • Man, he looks terrible.

  • fuck u

  • Well, terrible's a bit too extreme. I'd say mediocre ...

  • Obviously in the NBA he's going to have a much tougher time.

I noticed in this game, almost no opposing player put a body on this guy. But in the NBA this dude is going to be roughed up bad, NBA players are going to be bumping him in the paint like crazy. We'll see how well he can handle it.

  • I agree.. plus in the NBA players are bigger and stronger than the Lebanese players in this video, Hamed looks like he's playing agaisnt 4th graders, Joe Vogel is only 6'10" - 260, I would love to see Haddadi vs. Dwight Howard in the paint, Haddadi will get dominated

  • Iran & Lebanon, nice sportsmanship.

  • I LOL'ed

  • 1:23 - that was right handed!

  • ma'shallah i cant wait to see him play

  • what a great player.

  • is it haddadi or ehaddadi

  • It's Haddadi. I the only reason I have ehaddadi there is because people misspell his name

  • @whatitduz23 its Haddadi

  • u fucking layer im u dad so i know better than you when i fucked your mother...heheh fucking bastard

  • mother fuckers! he was the only player to average a double-double (16.6 points, 11.2 rebounds, 2.6 blocks) in Olympic competition fuck u ollielott u 15 years old son of tha bitch

  • Sabonis remains. NBA player, sure. Memphis I think

  • give him 2 years til he'll be effective

  • Obviously, you don't understand the Nba game, so I will excuse your comment! Not everyone who is 7 feet or taller is suitable to play in the NBA. This Hamed Ehadadi plays too stiff, and lets see what he can do against players like Dwight Howard, Shaq O'Neal, Yao Ming, and Andrew Bynum. Who are far more athletic than this guy. This guy at best is the 15 man on any NBA roster if he makes the cut. If you can't handle the truth then suck my dick you camel eating bitch!

  • sorry to burst your bubble but your opinion does not matter; people who actually "own" an NBA team spent millions to bring him so shut the f*ck up hater.

how many NBA teams do you own?

  • It is December30,2009 and what has Hamed accomplished in the NBA so far.........A trip to the D league and a 1.9 point a game average. Can you say....Bust? Because How can you be over 7 feet tall and average less than a jump shot a game.

  • We'll take almost anybody over 7ft right now. we are undersized and we get our asses kicked(especially down low) on a nightly basis. A true basketball fan(like me) knows knows he needs a lot of work before he makes any impact in the NBA. The Memphis Grizzlies also have Marc Gasol(Pau's brother)signed up. The Grizz will emphasize defense and rebounding this year as they were one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA. I'm not saying Hamed will be the next Wilt but we need all the help we can get

  • hamed is scheduled to play for the memphis grizzlies.

  • he made better numbers that all USA centers in olympics

  • cus hes surrounded by even worse players than him you goatfucking asshole. dwight's surrounded by lebron melo kobe dwayne.... if you replaced him with dwight on the iranian team i wonder who would have better numbers......................?

    YOU dumb FUCK.

  • hadadi is shit along with all of you stupid iranian ballers. stupid iranians. too bad we didnt play your asses in the olympics. cus these iranians are shit.

  • shut the fuck upp.. where are u from?u mother fucker..hadadi can be one of the best in NBA..

  • ok?ollielott

  • who the fuck r u? u british gay bitch. yeah, u couldnt play with Iran because u werent qualified u gay.

  • After receiving U.S. government approval, Iranian center Hamed Ehadadi has been cleared to sign with NBA teams!

  • next shakir oniel :D

  • Who's Shakir Oniel?

  • Shakir Oneal u know

  • The next Duane Causwell ...

  • haahhahaaha....duane causwell!!!... no but seriously, he looks weak and soft, but apparently has a decent jump shot. That would be his ticket to get signed in the NBA. He's young, so I think he could develop into a better than average player. Rik Smits-type of player. Not a star, but could become a solid center.

  • He sucks. Who does he play for? Iran. They got raped in the Olympics. The Dallas Mavericks Summer League team beat them by 20.

  • Shut your fucking mouth up mother fuckers. He will kick your ass soon.. go go hadadi..

  • what's so great about him?

  • hell get signed youll see...but who said hell even play in the nba.

i mean c'mon youve seen centers in the league that are as bad as him

  • shut the fuck upp u fucking idiot.. he can be best in fucking nba......

  • the next bogut?

  • wayyy too soft. this guys is gonna get fucked in the NBA

  • this guy is going to get killed in the NBA wow

  • I am sorry if any of my comments offended anyone.I must admit I am an Iranican and I would like to see more Americans appreciate individuals who against all odds have over come adversity in their life It upsets me that so many people in this world seem to want someone to fail just so they can feel patriotic Anyway all of you could be correct on the possibility that Hamed may not do well in the NBA but it doesnt diminish the fact that he wants to play in the NBA and our fucked up gov wont let him

  • No one has said he can't play. The NBA just hasn't applied with the State Department to allow them to deal with Iran to bring this kid over for workouts. David Stern has said that they are applying for this exception, and I'm sure it will be granted, but the law dictates that the NBA has to apply for that exception.

  • Hopefully we will get a chance to either see him fail horribly and get dunked on like Shawn Bradley LOL, or maybe he will be of some service, and possibly a good role model and spokesman for Iranian's, to help sway America's horrible propaganda related towards Iranian's. Contrary to popular opinion, they are good people who want nothing more that to asimilate to the West.

  • The fact is that most people don't match all of the stereotypes that are pasted on them. Nor do they share all of the views of the government that represents them. I think most people want the same things on a basic level. A roof over their head, food on their table, and the peace of walking down streets free of bullets & bombs.

It's not the Iranian people as a whole that worry me. It's the lunatics that run their country. But the lunatics who run our country worry me just us much.

  • True to that!

  • Furthermore, don't speculate on a players potential ability, unless you are a talent scout. Obviously, the guy has gotten some attention, because he is in the news and YOU people are posting on it. So stop the "I can't wait untill this guy goes up against Shag or KG" he will get destroyed. What a bunch of insecure egotists you people are.

  • he can make it to the NBA. but i doubt he'll be a "star". he's probably gonna be an average center with height. His game has no special skill really, he's just a lot taller than his opponents. i'm no hater, just being realistic here.

  • lol

  • This kid is softer than liberatchi, no way does he make it to the NBA (or if he does, no way is he successful)

  • Tell Pau Gasol that.

  • You mean the player that couldn't find his rhythm during the finals and got abused by KG/BBD/POWE/PERK and everyone else the Celts threw at him? Gasol is soft, this guys softer and unless he plans on throwing the ball at the hoop and praying it goes in there's no chance he becomes an NBA player of any caliber

  • And the player that helped them get in the playoffs, wouldn't have made it to the finals without him, sure. And that's not even the point, Gasol is in the NBA, probably one of the top 3 centers in the league (check stats of last year), and if Gasol can, this dude sure can.

  • Gasol did make the Lakers better. However, one of the reasons why Gasol is so helpful is because he is a threat with the pick and roll. And can shoot mid-range. Sure He can get to the basket and dunk, but he isn't a dominate post player. He mostly dominates against weak players (smaller people) and when faced with someone who's his height he struggles every time.

  • True

  • see yahoo!!!?????

  • and 1 more thing, his still young, plenty of years for experience. . . he's gonna get better im sure. . .

  • yeah yeah his soft BUT he got game. . . good stats, good moves, quick for his size, does things a normal 7'2" cant. . . good enough for NBA, i think. . .

  • Yao Will fucken will go over him his rookie ass

  • settle down now cowboy, it will take a while for him to gain respect/fame just like it took a while for yao to gain his. i remember when everyone was hating on him now hes feared even by shaq

  • he wont gain anything from the nba, he playing sooo soft..he cant be in the nba because he wont do good to it

  • YOU cant join the nba because YOUR too soft.

  • In the letter, which was sent Friday,NBA legal counsel wrote:"It has come to our attention that representatives of Hamed Ehadadi, an Iranian basketball player, may be contacting NBA teams to discuss the possibility of signing Mr. Ehadadi to an NBA player contract."We have been advised that a federal statue prohibits a person or organization in the United States from engaging in business dealings with Iranian nationals."

  • this dude does look's soft

  • Stupid guy.

  • he seems soft

  • HI HATER

  • its not hating if its true.. put him against shaq or kevin garnett and see what happens.

  • ur an idiot those guys are nba all stars.

  • what a fucking funny commentator. OOOOOOooooOOh In your face!!!!

  • He's playing against one of the crappiest teams in the world, of course he'd be good. A person that's tall with little or no skill could play good against an Asian team.

He's soft and these moves he's pulling off won't do him any good in the NBA. Maybe if it were 1950 but not 2008-2009

  • 21 points, 16 rebounds, 7-10 from the charity stripe, one blocked shot versus Argentina, the defending Olympic champions.

How about Carlos Boozer? Boozer's offensive game is based around hook shots and playing the glass, and he's elite in terms of efficiency.

Basically what I'm saying is you're dead wrong. You can call him soft, but the USA just played Spain, and nobody had more than 6 rebounds (Wade had 6, Howard had 4). 16 rebounds versus Argentina? Yeah, this guy is a future star.

  • How many good, low post Argentinian players are there in the NBA? Zero. Why are you bringing Spain into this? Did H. Ehadadi have 16 rebounds against Spain? The Spanish team and Argentinian team are completely separate, don't mention them together. And who cares if Argentina won 4 years ago. It's still not the same team. The players have changed or gotten older.

If this guy joined any NBA team, he would be the next Chris Dudley, nothing more.

  • he has nice fundamentals

  • come on over to the Lakers Ehadadi!

  • DAMN RIGHT

  • Please don't come to the Lakers Ehadadi!

  • Yo soi andaluz pero no gilipollas com tu :)

  • If Andrew Bogut is a number one pick, surely Hadadi could start on many NBA teams a few years from now. I think Mehmet Okur is a fair comparison.

  • not Okur man. He's mostly a post player, I can't think of a comparison.

  • Memphis grizzlies will take him.our team needs help right now.

  • He's alright, but some of you'll are incredibly ignorant.

"I can't think of a single 7-footer in the NBA with a soft touch who can run, move around, and shoot the ball."

Ever hear of the MVP Dirk Nowitzki (who blew out Iran in a friendly by 20 the other day). The guy who has the most three's in NBA history by a 7 footer?

And someone called Serbia a Euro powerhouse. No, Serbia is no longer a powerhouse, they didn't even qualify for the olympics! Guy's like Peja don't even play National.

  • He did a good job against NBA players in the summer league. I'm not saying that he's going to be the next Tim Duncan, but he could be a sold player off the bench.

  • looking forward to seeing him on the grizzlies!

  • if he comes to the NBA so many dudes will put him on future posters he is soooooooooo soft that it annoys me! lol

  • word. this guy has shawn bradley written all over him. dude cant jump and has slow feet. a combination that guarantees you will be getting dunked on a lot in years to come

  • Shawn Bradley is a White Mormon! How can you even compare the two you Moron!

  • what the fuck does race have to do with the playing style and being a big slow guy that will get dunked on a lot? you are the fucking moron. that was truly a stupid thing to say. since when did people identify basketball players by race over playing style. what a dumbass

  • Everyone knows that Shawn Bradley is the poster child for, if your a true baller, you will dunk over the head of the white uncoordinated Bradley. Obviously you don't want to see a guy succeed because of his Middle Eastern origin. Besides, are you an NBA scout or something? People in America think they are soo hard, and that other nationalities can't compete in their sport. Give the guy a chance, before you bash him forfucksake.

  • alright, you are a complete dumbass. obviously i dont wanna see him cuz he's middle eastrn? who said anything about that? who said anything about race? you are a complete idiot. why do you keep bringing up race for? who said anything about that? you need to shut up, because you are a dumbass. this guy has slow feet, no post moves, and he cant jump. dude barely dunks. big men who are imobile with slow feet like that are easy targets, thats why i mentioned Bradley. you mentioned race like a dick

  • Ok I admit I may have jumped the gun on the race card, however I you look at all of the comments you will see that when you compare all of these athletes from abroad, its seems to relate to their country of origin, ethnicity, or race. Please don't call me a dumbass. All of the comments relate to Europeans as being soft. I guess if you are not of African descent you cannot be hard. Nevertheless, the addition of players from abroad is here to stay, so get used to it.

  • Looks like your the dumbass now doesn't it bitch! Looks like the NBA saw more in him than your sorry ass. Guess your scouting ability sux.

  • Hoops was invented by a Canadian, BTW (Dr James Naismith)

  • y is the announcer acting like this is soccer???

anyway... he has no moves and those quick flip shots wont get him anywhere in the NBA and he doesnt even bang and he's 7 2.... soft....

  • how old is that dude?

  • He is 23.

  • Yo gallego no soy 1º, soy de andalucia,

Sudaka tu si k tienes complejo de Inferioridad. 2º Mi culo ta mas cerrao k tu puta boca.

3º Escribo komo me sale del puto nabo. ;)

    Venga Sociopata.

aprende a escribir, termina la secundaria o empezala. get a life!

  • Vale que se haya salido de tono, pero la mejor manera de reprender a alguien por meterse con un país no es hacer lo mismo y despreciar a los españoles. Y tú tampoco escribes muy allá, por cierto.

  • I can't think of a single 7-footer in the NBA with a soft touch who can run, move around, and shoot the ball. The only factor which really separates good players from great players is confidence which this kid seems to have. He has a great chance to join the NBA.

  • Dirk Nowitzki, Mehmet Okur, Rasheed Wallace.

  • Es bueno ese xaval

Pero lo veo un poco ''Canijo''

Pero jugando contra libano, libano es una mierda en basket y en todo xD.

  • y a vos que mierda te da derecho a decir que el libano es una mierda, enfermo.

  • Ehadadi also scored 20 points against Argentina( olympic champions ) couple of days ago at the diamond ball nanjing.

    PWNED

  • He is not good at all..i remember( correct me if i am wrong!!) he fouled out guarding a 6'6 Forward Kerby Raymundo of the Philippines..this Hadadi guy totally sucked when facing our team i remember he wasnt a factor at all in that game see Fiba Asia 2007.. he only got 3 points. He should dominate our center because of his height advantage.. but out tough defence proves that this guy is not an NBA material...!!

  • he scored 20 points vs the former champions serbia today. iran won 72 - 70

    fuck you ladyboy and philippines.

  • ur so right man!haddadi is shit! he just scored 20pts and had 9 rebounds against argentina the defending olympic champion. He also had 20 pts,6 block shots and 20 rebounds against serbia(a european powerhouse).

  • as an american who watches keeps his eye constantly on the international game i have to say i'm not impressed and am wondering why partizan belgrade wanted this kid..after 74 seconds of video i have to say just because he showed a little touch around the basket and put a couple putbacks in against a much smaller opposition is no reason to put him on youtube...let's see him go up against Yao Ming or sofoklis schortsantis of greece then see how well he does...

  • He looks good, but he is way taller than lebanon's centers... would have to see him playing against someone of his height... We'll see in the olympics, he will have more trouble there.

  • Someone of his height???

Even in the NBA, he would have problems to find "someone of hos height".

  • this guys a beast.

  • One main problem he seems to have is his "softness", but then again there are so many great foreign NBA players that are known to be "soft" also...like Dirk Nowitzki and paul gasol..If he comes to the NBA, he needs to become more AGGRESSIVE...

  • Dirk is not soft. I've seen him battle Karl Malone and win. Have his teeth knocked out and win. He's a MVP and you cant achieve that being soft.

  • did anyone see his beyond half court shot? sickness look it up on youtube, he is much better at shooting now, he's already recieved tons of offers o be in the nba but is waiting only after the olympic games are through, iran has a great shot, but they lost a huge player in aidin brahmini, rip man

  • not bad! iran's basketball is growing really fast!

  • iran is awesome

  • They have improved a lot and they have some interesting players, but they are still the worst team in the olympics and many european teams (and Brazil either) have a higher level.

  • he can't shoot against the philippines

  • hey dich head he got 7 nba team invitations and postponed all of them till after the olympics.7
