@blownutsmyass dude the 7.3 is made by navistar international, right? right. the 7.3 wasnt used JUST in the the super duty it was used in most buses, tandem dumps, tri axles, and even tractors. it was the DT444. yeah sure cummins are in big trucks, but its not the 6.7 liter, its the 500, 525, 565, 600, and so on cummins. at least Ford/Navistar can put the same engine in 50% of their trucks instead of making one diesel for one truck only.

@xTEXASx92 Ford does not make Cummins nor are they even affiliated as far as light duty trucks are concerned, although some of their larger trucks (F-650's on up) do feature Cummins motors. Cummins is their own company which makes diesel engines. Some of which go in Dodge pickups but others go in other heavy truck and marine applications. None of the big three automakers build their own light duty diesel engines.

All i'm gonna say is who spent more money on the truck? To add that the OBS is a 215HP motor non intercooled vs a 24V cummins that puts about 250-350HP ( depending on year) stock. Who'd you think was gonna win? You got no smoke from the Ford and some from the Cummins. I don't know about you but every time I see a truck chiped it blows some smoke sometime.

@blownutsmyass dude the 7.3 is made by navistar international, right? right. the 7.3 wasnt used JUST in the the super duty it was used in most buses, tandem dumps, tri axles, and even tractors. it was the DT444. yeah sure cummins are in big trucks, but its not the 6.7 liter, its the 500, 525, 565, 600, and so on cummins. at least Ford/Navistar can put the same engine in 50% of their trucks instead of making one diesel for one truck only.

@xTEXASx92 Ford does not make Cummins nor are they even affiliated as far as light duty trucks are concerned, although some of their larger trucks (F-650's on up) do feature Cummins motors. Cummins is their own company which makes diesel engines. Some of which go in Dodge pickups but others go in other heavy truck and marine applications. None of the big three automakers build their own light duty diesel engines.
