Coach Bryant was the greatest. He loved the fans as much as they loved him. If you loved Bama football he loved you. That is what separated him from the rest of the "great " ones. Whether he was patting a child on the head at the airport, or leaning on the goal post before games, you got the feeling he was in it for the fans. I feel so blessed to have lived during his era. Godspeed Coach Bryant. The Bama Nation will still enjoy championships, but they won't be as 'sweet' without you at the helm.

Who could ever forget the Bear ... I remember him standing by the goal post as a kid, being at the game. He would just stand there and nobody would be around him. Concerning the concept of "Original," I need to state that "Bear" was an exceptional teacher, Commander, and, by mere extention, a Superlative Coach, who, by the way, came with his teams out to Texas desert to train for climate acclimation. His approach was unparalleled, unsurpassed by any other Coach or Athletic Staff Member anywhere. I am glad to state that Alabama is a fine State and they indeed have their fine Tradition of Athleticism, which, if I may, has so energized the Country so much.

It's hard to believe anyone could watch this and not get emotional. People who are not a part of Alabama Football don't have a clue to the man behind the name. Gene Stallings was an absolute work of art in character and attitude. Saban will be the third great and my admiration grows every day for him. He has one of the sharpest business minds today and football is his business. The one thing that sets them aside...Respect and Discipline. You will get and give both. no option.

Great video of a great program. Auburn fans may be critical of how much we embrace our tradition, but all the great programs do that. Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas. It's about being proud of your team and it's accomplishments.

Bryant may just be a ghost, but he still gains the respect of everyone outside the Auburn program.

Just the very tone of coach Bryant's voice intimadates me still. He silenced the Notre Dame locker room when he walked in after the Irish had defeated Bama 24-23 in the '73 sugar bowl. He came to congratulate Notre Dame's QB Tom Clements. When Bear mis-pronounced his name the error was not corrected by Tom. Coach Bryant put THAT kind of respect (and may I say fear) into everyone he met.
