  • oh i love this cover

  • I love this cover as much as the original...but the soundtrack version seems a little weak to me. Where are the friends?! The voices of the boys in the movie worked so well together. Here we only get Max and Jude.

Sure, their friendship is the most important one in the film, but still...

  • I love the harmonies. :}

& the break down at before two minutes! Yes!

  • kickass song yeah!

  • Great quality :D

  • Great version.

Ringo(lead vocal on THE ORIGINAL 'With A Little Help From My Friends') has such a distinct voice and it never changes,he sounds just about the same today (at nearly 70) as he did with The Beatles.

Speaking again of Ringo's vocals, I'm very serious when I say many people have commented(literally)on my music video 'It's A Complicated World' that my singing sounds similar to Ringos!

Check it out and hear for yourself.

  • hah. love how this version is a cover both of the original and of the joe cocker version. brilliant.

  • so was this song written by Joe or the fab 4?

  • the beatles. cocker covered it a couple years later; his version was used as the theme song to "the wonder years".

  • the beatles

  • lol this is ganna sound weird but I just watched a extremly sad movie and i needed something to cheer me up and i youtube'd this song haha wow im weird.

  • The person who tries to live alone will not succeed as a human being. His heart withers if it does not answer another heart. His mind shrinks away if he hears only the echoes of his own thoughts and finds no other inspiration.

  • Well put!

  • favorite song on the movie

  • The original one is better.....GO RINGO!!!

  • where would you find it?

  • Mr. Harper, the current prime minister of canada (Canada's President for those of you in the good ol' US of A) sang this as a total surprise at a concert that he was visiting, only his wife knew about it before he walked on stage, not even his security or the concert planners

  • @neko452 When?!?!

  • where can i find the cd with this? i looked at the sound track and couldnt find all of the songs? do they have like a delux one or something?

  • just on itunes

  • yes there is a delux version with all the songs from the movie

  • yay ATU!

  • i love this song! the video to the movie is funny....:P

  • Well, this sure beats the hell out of the Sgt. Peppers movie.

Not the actual album, mind you.

  • Yellow Submarine?

That film's FUN! So weird, but fun...

This and Yellow Sub are good movies...

  • Its so weird because the singer is British. weird no?

  • Meh, I still Iike the movie version better than the Soundtrack version.

  • i must admit this is the only song i didn't like covered in this movie. Having said that i do think (and dont shoot me) that Joe cockers version of this song is better than the Beatles'.

  • "Bang bang"... lol

But really, you can perfer one or the other. But just saying one is "better" than the other... Them's fightin' words.

  • most of the songs relate to me and my friends because his girl ran off on him so it really touched my heart

  • This movie really made some of the best covers I've ever heard. Especially for a musical!

My favorite is probably Let it be. It is very touching.

  • Gosh, I love the original Beatles version - but I think I actually like this one a little more, not much though. Across the Universe was so much fun for me to watch because I got to hear GOOD covers of my favorite Beatles songs - and one or two I hadn't heard beforehand!

  • Actually, I thought of one more reason why people might hate this: It's not I Am Sam.

  • I love the fact they chose to blend both verisons. Obviously Cocker wouldn't have had a problem with it since he was in the movie, and as I said...it exists.

Fun scene to watch. That's pretty much what this movie is: A stream of fun musical videos with a decent plot connecting them. Take it for what it is, and it's great.

I just suspect people got pissed off because

a.) It strayed from the formula.

    b.) It wasn't Moulin Rouge

c.) Voice editing (thought they cracked up on film)

  • yeah, but no one's better than the beatles............ it hurts to say this, but i like some of these vergins better! Maybe because I'm a modern girl

  • I have to admit those kids can certainly pull it off they did a great job singing and playing these songs. I've noticed LOL how they near the end of this song they used a similar chorus beat from Joe Cocker's With a little help from my friends. Anyway cool.

    Peace, ZenLay

  • i love this song

  • love it! <3

  • theres nothingg more i can say but amazing, of coursee the beatles are the amazingg originals but jim sturgess has the cutest english accent :)

  • i love this song ( L )

  • lol, is ( L ) supposed to be Ringo and his nose?

  • I basicly watch this movie everyday. And i love when he says i get high with a little help from my friends and there smoking a fake joint but he puffs real smoke.

  • i don't think it's a fake joint i think its just really tiny.

  • i like how when they say i get high they smoke a joint

  • love this songg :P

  • love this SONG!!

  • really nice song (L)_(L)

  • Love this part of the movie~

  • OMG i luvvvv this song!!!!!!!!!

  • AAA!!! i love this song!!!

  • "would you believe in a love at first sight? Yeah I'm certain that it happens all the time."

I love that line, but I love the whole song even more ^^

  • this could totally be used as drinking song

  • it was in the movie

  • 60's .... it was the 60's wasnt it? i know the war bleeded into the 70's but wasnt the movie in the 60's?

  • yep

  • doesnt it say its in the 60's on the back of the DVD?

  • sweeeet song!

  • oh mann.

i think i've commented on every single song.

    this one was great.

    "do you need anybody?!" :)

  • 1 of my favorites from the movie! :p this is so damm nice and in the movie they sing it nog bether!! :D

    grtz!

  • ... I don't really understand what you said at the end of your post.

  • i mean they sing it in the movie bether then the orignial song from the beatles. :) ;)

  • Yes, on the most part, but some of the songs are best original, and nothing less. But there are some that are better, like I want to Hold your hand...I prefer the movie version of this as well..

  • Ah i like The Beatles Version of I wana hold your hand more than ATUs version but thiers is still good

  • Both versions are good, because they both sing about peace, firstly, and secondly they both have great lyrics and even rythm. ATU and The Beatles are incredible, but The Beatles started it.

  • Love this song :)

  • im still mexmorized by how awesome this movie was

  • Why did you lick the movie? I'm pleased you're sorry about it though.

That movie might think you were sexually assulting it.

  • Maybe he was high, and wigged out.

  • Best movie ever made.<3

  • "Do you believe in a love at first sight?

Yeah I'm certain it happens all the time!"

    Lol, best line imo.

  • i didn't get this

    movie very much

  • I think that the movie really tried to tell the history of the mid sixties through the mid seventies through the eyes of beatle songs....the evolution of their music along with the ongoing turmoil of the vietnam war as well the racial tensions and social ills...that sorta thing... but it was told through the lens of the beatles really...I think they were a little too cute with the movie but...I liked their interpretation of some of their songs.

  • its was my most favourite movie iv ever seen it was amazing and thank you so much for doing this

  • this was the best movie ever

  • Great Cover! Great Movie, they did a damn good job!

  • the beatles are awsome, i just hope that people realize that these songs wernt created by the movie
