Actually I don't know. I just visited fabric store and picked the silky, hard, synthetic one :)

Can you tell me what kind of fabric or clouth is used in the press? Have tried it on small scale, but mine keeps ripping.

Some tips, if you gonna build your own similar device. Knives must be double riveted to keep cutting edges at proper direction. Upper bar should be some harder wood than regular construction one. I broke it right after the video got recorded. I'm gonna upgrade it next summer with replacing upper bar against birch bar and installing ball bearings at crusher shaft. Plastic sleeves melt. Nut at the shaft edge for drill joint helped a lot. Drill machine must be equipped with nut driver. Good luck!!!

drum has made from 110mm pvc tube, 10 or 12mm full thread stud for shaft, end gaps at both ends are 50mm wooden runners with center holes, fastened with nuts to the shaft, knives made from weatherboard fasteners, fixed with rivets
