There is a little mistake in you're story about this vessel. This ship was original intended to enter as "SS Johann Heinrich Burchard" But the ship and the sister ship handed over as reparation ships voluntarily by the Germans fore sinking Neutral ship of Neutral Netherlands. Both ships became part of the Royal Holland Lloyd. Renamed SS Brabantia en SS Limburgia. But they where to big fore RHL and in 1922 sold to UAL. Who renamed them SS Resolute and SS Reliance.
@Maasdam1993 My sources tell me that the Resolute was originally named Steamship William O'Swald, and was the sister ship of the Johan Heinrich Burchard which was later named Limburgia, then Reliance when sold to United American Lines. Both were sold to the Dutch after the war. So unless my books are wrong, I think my description is correct, I just didn't mention that her first name was William O'Swald.
How many SS Resolutes were there. My Postcard states it was built in 1926?

Wonderful shot of the Bremen or the Europa, as one of the cameos...don't know which.

As usual you are the best at this. Wasn't long after that Nazi subs were sinking marchant marine ships silhouetted against that same skyline.

Another gem, a eye watching history - in those prewar years, notice the flag! Great footage!
