I agree that people need to take individual responsibility for changing the world they live in. But how do you choose between bad options? There are two petrol stations in my town, one Esso (aka ExxonMobil) and one Shell. If I choose too avoid Shell my money is going to a company that drills irresponsibly. I agree that people need to take individual responsibility for changing the world they live in. But how do you choose between bad options? There are two petrol stations in my town, one Esso (aka ExxonMobil) and one Shell. If I choose too avoid Shell my money is going to a company that drills irresponsibly. If I go to Esso I'm giving the thumbs up to Shell's price fixing and exploitation. Boycotting one gives the other more power and neither deserve that.

With cults the trouble seems to be in the followers' (often forced) willingness to defend the egregious actions of leadership, making exposure almost impossible. I wish more resources where lent to oversight of groups such as these but the fact remains; red flags must be raised to see our law enforcement step in, for they are too busy fighting a failed drug war....
