  • Having had an XB GT coupe I'd never say they were easy to drive or that he's not sporting a set to throw that beautiful XA around like that, but he was being pretty raggy with the throttle on the hillclimb stage at the start...

Just glad it lived to fight another day. :oD

  • nice,..

  • i would have sex wif that car

  • nice car

  • Thats some nice driving.... I Would love to see the haters upload a vid of there skills.

Keep in mind guys these thing has Leaf rear & no steering rack

  • Usually when you say XA GT Crashes there is actually a crash. Just a though dickhead.

  • @tetalina1234 OMG dident u see it??

  • fantastic driving skills!

  • that is some pretty fast driving and a super tough car! great job!

  • top vid top car and most of all well done to the driver for giving it some proper leather

enjoyed watching it thanks very much

  • That is some tidy driving.

  • I love the XA and XB 2 doors. this guy is a bit too hairy on the wheel,

  • I cringe when I see these great behemoths rolling all over the road. Guys lament these old cars and although I love them, they were psycho cars to drive. Makes you appreciate the old days of Bathurst and of course the guy in this video weaving around gum trees! Admittedly, this one drives pretty well.

So much better than bogans thinking they're tough hooning all over public roads in Commodores.

  • still handles pretty well for such a big car go the falcon

  • bit stupid having an xa gt coupe as a rally car.Should get something thats more practical for rally use.

  • Very nice bit of filming at 1:22 to 1:38 in particular.

Great to be reminded of these old beasts.

  • hey this is just my personal opinion ..but i think the xa gt hard top was the best of the two doors..

  • XA and XB most definitely.

  • Classic muscle, but what a great wallowing hippo by todays standards, an absolute rolling walrus.

Better to just sit in it and listen to the sweet noise.

  • It is good to see run hard. I love my XB Coupe. The XA-XC series coupes are the nicest looking cars Ford ever built.

  • They inspired my love of cars as a child. They look TOO good, like they were designed by a superior race of aliens or something.

  • LoL...Yes, as a kid I loved the look of them and of course still do. Every time I look at my XB Coupe, I drool over the sexy lines it has. I love the way the rear window is concave. Yes must have been designed by a supreme force of hoon Aliens. I have had my 74 model since 1984...25 years.

  • if that was a new falcon that little bump probably would of caused a write off. XA - XC, best cars ever created.

  • forgot the xy gtho m8

  • clearly a dent on the right side

  • haha, how can anyone not notice it????

  • ...some bare steel from chipped paint when they bashed it out for wheel and tyre clearance from corrosion no doubt and at 1.57 when it turns and the sun shines along the body you can even SEE the dent in the right rear quarter infront of the rear wheel. open your eyes and ears morons

  • and it does crash just like the title says. the crash happens between seconds 21 and 22 on the right rear side of the vehicle, the bang on impact is quite audible , you can also clearly see and hear the moment it starts sliding and the impact even better when the video is slowed and replayed, then at second 58 on the second day of racing and each time it shows the right side of the vehicle after that you can also clearly see what looks like blue tape around the wheel arch protecting....

  • the gt was built to race why not race it yes rare etc etc but let them horses run free as they were meant to

  • Rare bird indeed built for one purpose...TO RACE at Bathurst. I owned one in 78 but the rust got into it so I sold it......GTs cost squillions now IF you can find one..

  • mate that is a beast ma dad used 2 hav one only had a 302 in it but was highly worked it pulled 11 sec standin quarters it was a beast. LAST OF THE V8's!!!

  • Nice car but why on earth would you want to risk writing off something like a GT Coupe, these things are rare these days need to be preserved...but thats my opinion

  • I was waiting for this thing to crash like the heading says :(

  • did that thing have a SINGLE exhuast pipe? and that thing sounded down right satanic!

  • mmm unfortunately the ass on the coupes swung out a bit.. but HOW FUCKING HOT IS THAT CAR!

    god i love fords.

    great vid!

  • nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • Check out the in car footage of this car at the Mt Buller Sprint - search 'Mt Buller Sprint XA GT ford coupe Nov 2006'....

  • no fukn crash ay quiet dissapointed ... oh well i might just go and hav to film my own crash in my mitsubishi delica. i have hell done it up it now has a turbo and a searchlight. if you would like pics please email me otherwise look up

"mitsubishi delica burnouts and drifts" thanks guys

  • the car rolls abit, but it weighs alot so you can expect it to tilt from one side to another

  • I didn't see any "crash"...

And by the way your aspect ratio is screwed,it makes it look like an rx2 coupe not a falcon...

  • sweet as cant wait to see

  • my other videos coming soon... in car footage from mt buller hillclimb, muscle car shoot-out & suncoast classic!

  • that thing is sick as love it must have a few horsies to move along as quick as that.. have to say the XA XB XC hardtops are the sexiest looking 70's cars

  • damn... oh well wasnt too hard of a hit, where are the older vids of this car? they seem to have disapeared???
