why do you change sides the first one you punch witht he leading leg then the second you keep a stiff arm with the leading leg then punch with the arm that is the same side as the back leg why?
The "stiff arm" is a focus, used if an enemy steps foward too quickly, it goes to the throat and stops their advance, then the strike using the arm with back leg is a Reverse punch. by twisting the hips lightly you increase the range of the punch by 4 - 6 inches, and also increase the power.
The scene you refferred to is reverse punch training. I hope this helped ^^
