@wugongfr Awesome! I really love baguazhang, but I have no teacher nearby. Because of that, I am trying to learn Liang Style Baguazhang from Master Zhang Quanliang's DVD's ( I think they are 10 of them). I am wondering your advice on the matter. Some clips of the DVDs are on YouTube. I am also willing to buy Master Li Ziming's book as well. I look forward to your thoughts!
@AlHasashinBattousai hey, I would advice not to focus entirely on the collection of Zhang Quanliang's DVD. Allthough they can help you start you should not trust them too much ;) Concerning books you can find a great book in english form grandmaster Li Zi Ming called Eight Diagram Palm and edited by vince Black.
The most important is the circle walking where all your attention should go at first. Read the book carefully lot of great tips. You can also put your videos so people can give advice
Thank you for your advice. When you say I shouldn't trust the DVD's, are you saying that there is some wrong information in them, or that there is a lot of missing information? Also, how much of the system does Grandmaster Li Ziming's book cover?
@AlHasashinBattousai there are some wrong information. the liziming book covers principle and theory more than actual practical teaching. As always learning from a DVD is hard and not very recommended with internal styles.
@wugongfr I've just bought the book Liang Zhen Pu Eight Diagram Palm. I wish I could go to Beijing to learn more... Could you please give me an advice what video/DVD/... I should look to learn Liang style bagua?
I want to ask a question, but I don't know French. Do you know English by any chance?
