Two things, regarding the stage crasher: Alarming as it is that he just ran up there like a dumbass thinking it's open mic night, he actually sounded outrageously similar to Bono when he screams the line "way-hey-hate!" as Bono tears the mic from him. The crasher improvises the meter of the melody and it WORKED! And oh the irony. He's clearly pleading with Bono and security to "wait! wait!" while being tossed from the stage as Bono sings; "Way-hey-hate". Lovely moment.

I assume this outtake of the R&H unreleased videoshoots was played right after the choirversion of Still haven't found, since we see the choirmembers going off stage in the beginning of this video.

The adrenalin must have been rushing through the bands veins. Edge is kicking in too speedy, so the band needs to follow. Bono seems to have forgotten the proper lyrics and just improvises on what he seems to remember.

It's great to view such a rare and raw version of it!

Thank you so much for posting this WONDERFUL song! I like it much better than the album version...the slight distortion (such as .35-.38) just adds to everything. :-)

Also, is that Jerry Mele that goes flying acros the stage at .46? He stayed with U2 for quite a while, if so...great how well Bono handled that whole incident!

No, not Mele, before his time- he started with them on Lovetown in 1989 and went until 1998 Popmart. That was local NYC security I believe- Mele was an ex special forces Vietnam guy, so I can imagine he would have had an easier time handling the drunk than those two clowns! They never should have let him get near Bono or any band member. Bono handled it the best of all of them, though.

Well I guess,they own the song.If they played it same as the record every time,then what buzz would they get out of it?Take 'Bullet The Blue Sky' for instance since Zoo Tv,it has changed for every tour,that I think is excellent,how will it sound next tour...,I can't wait.Obviously any artist can have a bad night or feel the need to shake this up a little.'Live' is 'Live' and that also means unpredictability,which is what make the artist come to life.

one of my most favorite songs especially live excellent beat by far!! great to see they did this back in 2001 on tour in Spain as well. if only they perormed Red hill mining town back in 87 that would have topped everything off
