  • of corse its not at a shooting range :P i would love to shoot a gun wer he is {in my backyard}but then my nieghbors would be app **** on me if i did XD lucky for u u liv ein the country wer evryday u hear gunshots XD lol

  • 0:24 sounds like a Ricochet to me! Very nice M1 Carbine, A Winchester at that! I used to have an Old Saginaw years ago. I regret selling the beauty.

  • I don't understand why .30 Carbine isn't a more popular round.

What kind of ammo do you use, anyways?

  • @DanTheVikingr Usually Remington, it seems to be easy to find locally.

  • ive never seen a stripper clip for a magazine b4

  • love the ricochet on the last shot :p

  • @WeekendWarrior556 .30 Carbine's report is a lower tone than a .22. More like a .38 or 9x19mm. The high pitched clank of the gas piston striking the operating rod appears to drown much of it out, at least when using this camera. As I said before it's a very clanky sounding gun to shoot, felt recoil is about like a .223.

  • I know it's not fake, but doesn't half sound it. lol

  • I like the ricochet sound..

  • sounds like an airsoft gun O.o

  • @TheGreendude0 Sounds like an M1 Carbine to me. Rather clanky sounding action.

  • "pweeuuung!"

Just like in every Cowboy movie!

    Yeeepaaaahhh!!

  • Which came first, the m1 garand or the m1 carbine?

  • @MjMikoolJr The M1 Garand entered development in the early 1930's and was adopted in 1936. The M1 Carbine was designed in 1938 and adopted for service in 1942.

  • @BootyFister it's funny how people with caps lock on always look like douchbags

  • I JUST MASTURBATED TO THIS VIDEO.

  • @NiRVaNaFreAkGaMiNG I have a universal, I got it at a gun show with 2 15 rounds mags for 225. I had to buy a rear sight for it cuz whoever had it before me ut a scope on it and his scope mount was jamming the gun, no big deal like 25 more bucks for that. The ammo is about 25 bucks for 50 round boxes up around me. Overall its a nice gun I love shooting it, it works great I have no complaints, I dont want to own a real piece of history like a genuine just for plinking, the Universal is good for me

  • I love these videos! Right to the point lol

  • @NiRVaNaFreAkGaMiNG I payed around 350 for an Iver johnson M1,which is a remake.

You really just have to look around and learn about these carbines before buying one, many scammers out there.

  • @NiRVaNaFreAkGaMiNG the M1 carbine follows the same grading scale as other surplus: Rack, Field, Service, Correct, to Collector grades, that is, going from shooter first all the way up to excellent bores, excellent stocks, and matching. I have seen some around $300 and ones all the way up to $10,000. I invite you to take a look on gunbroker to see the range of prices, it does not portray market prices, but it does give you a good range of prices to consider.

  • PEEEWWWWW~~!

  • love the last round xD

  • smexy gun indeed, my dad used to have one, he taped two 30 round mags together and has one like yours

  • @NiRVaNaFreAkGaMiNG Oh well then this round should stop any deer your trying to hunt. But may I recommend a 12 gauge because ive dropped all my deer with a 30-30 to a .338 lapua magnum. But surprisingly ive found a 12 gauge with a rifled slug or punka-ball to drop a deer where it stands. And good luck on your hunts!

  • @NiRVaNaFreAkGaMiNG Most states dont allow semi-automatic weapons for hunting whitetail deer. Check your states game comission website, or law book.

  • 0:25 wild west ;D

  • @NiRVaNaFreAkGaMiNG No exact price - depends how much you want to pay. You can get a knock-off like a Universal cheaper than a USGI or Auto-Ordnance. For a genuine military model expect to pay between $600-1000 depending on condition.

  • I love the M-1 carbine.

  • nice vid i like the ricochet sound. ive always wanted one of these.

  • 0:23 lol ricochet

  • have to say that the WW2 era for guns is my favorite era, thumbs up if you agree!

  • No Ping? Awwwwwwwww

  • @eminemdabest02 its not the m1 garand

  • @amini011 O yea my bad..... read it wrong

  • @eminemdabest02 You're thinking of a garand.

  • @HiCapacity Youre correct

  • ziiiiiiiinnnnngggggg

  • Finally !!!! a video with no dislikes

BTW, this rifle has a history

  • Where did you get your M1 carbine? how much did it cost? I'm wondering if I get an RV should I get a gun to put in it?? How does the bullet of the M1 carbine compare to the AK47 bullet?? Very cool gun..

  • I love that metallic sound the gun produces.

  • Great gun. It was manufactured 33% more than the Garand in WWII.

Why did the government require that the cartridge be the .30 carbine? That was the gun's only flaw...

  • @CommanderCooper ecause the .30Carbine was to be a short to medium range self defence round, in that role the round performed very well, at 100 yards or less, the Carbine's slow moving, blunt tipped bullet would enter a target and expand and lodge itself inside, transferring all its energy, creating a huge wound cavity about 12 inches in diameter, compared to the smaller 6 inch narrow cavity caused by the faster, pointed 30-06 round, which didnt transfer all its energy, but rather kept going.

  • @LoneWolf051 Yeah, but they required that the gun be accurate up to about 300 yards, so they knew that the rifle would be used at distances like that. A .35 or .40 caliber bullet would have been much better.

  • great video. you need more viewers, beacuse people are missing out.

  • piiiiiiiiiv! 0:25 :D

  • Escuchen ese sonido 0:24

  • @DrakeGmbH Quick question: I am thinking of purchasing an M1 Carbine, and was wondering is it is necessary to use the stripper clips to feed the mag? Are you just using them for convenience? Also, about how much does ammo run for? Any tips and pointers would be helpful.

  • @ThaTearlessFaun You can load the magazines with individual cartridges. I just used them here to show how they worked and to speed up the loading portion of the video. I've usually been buying Remington and Federal .30 Carbine - tends to run around $25-35 for a box of 50. Ammo prices have been fluctuating quite a bit for the past four years.

  • Lol, nice u hear that ping sound at the end of the video

  • All your guns sound the same o_o

  • @KenniCrazy Its the mic that does that.

  • @LoneWolf051 I'm glad someone gets it. The combination of the microphone and the listener's speakers also greatly limits the sound levels below that of hearing damage. You can watch a video recorded a few feet from a weapon with no discomfort but I certainly needed to wear hearing protection each time I made one of these.

  • at last second ricochet was back ;p

  • everyone liked it :D

  • I preffer the m1 garand, :)

  • @vitorgaray If that's the case I'm not sure why you didn't post your comment on the Garand video.

Honestly, I find the little Carbine much more enjoyable to shoot than the Garand. Lighter, less recoil, and easier to feed. The Garand is pretty picky about its gas port pressure while the Carbine digests anything that fits in a .30 Carbine case. Easier to load and unload as well.

  • @DrakeGmbH dont mind him, Hes just a cod2 player

  • @DrakeGmbH where did you get this and the m1 garand?

  • @TeamBlueWolfAirsoft At a local shop and a gun show.

  • @vitorgaray The old girl served her country well. Plus, I even plan to deer with mine. Reason why is it creates a 8 inch cavity and the Garand only creates a 6 inch, which means more stopping power. Any body says its a weak round doesnt know what they are talking about, balistics dont lie. USA

  • my dad says it's good 4 hunting wild boars

  • @CNX625 It is, I've hunted huge boars with my Carbine, they go down in 1 body hit out to 100 yards, its a VERY damaging bullet.

  • Nice vids, lol im jelous all gns(cept that black powder pistol) banned here

  • plz, respond. im building this gun in lego now, can u tell me how high the gun is?

  • @GunMaker91 Rofl

  • @TaZ101SAGA idc

  • How much do these go for??

  • 0:24

    PTIOOOOOOUUUUUUU

  • Does your M1 Carbine have upgraded rear sights and a bayonet lug? Were those added after the war? I have an M1 built by Rock-Ola with those parts added after the war. Does it effect the value of the firearm?

  • @TheZakopolis The adjustable rear sights and bayonet lugs are typically postwar additions. They were introduced near the end of the war, so some rifles dated 1944 and 1945 may have been built with them originally. From what I've seen they don't detract from the value but a Carbine that survived unmolested and still has good rifling and finish will fetch a higher price than a comparable rearsenaled piece because they're far less common.

  • Anyone else hear the ricochet after he hits the third jug?

  • @361MXC By my count that's the eighteenth comment about it.

  • @DrakeGmbH whats the big deal people have good hearing and btw were do u get all of these weapons are u a restorer???

  • @unmi1231 I'm not sure I understand your questions. It's hard to miss the sound of a ricochet and it's been commented on several times. These firearms are my personal property. I buy them in stores or from online auctions or retailers - wherever I happen to find what I'm after.

  • @unmi1231 your complaining about people saying stuff about the ricochet...

  • @unmi1231 I don't believe it was a complaint, more of an answer to your question. Yes, at least eighteen others heard it.

  • @361MXC yeah i did, :D

  • @361MXC that's crazy cool

  • @361MXC Hehe, yeah. I love that sound. Just happy that the gunner didnt get hurt.

  • This is a fucking nice gun! Another gun added to my "to get" list.

  • already tried a thompson?

  • You think this will still be available in 30 years?

  • that is a very ingenious way to load a magazine... :D

  • Man that M1 looks brand new! I got one made in 1943 and it doesn't look nearly as pretty as your. Shoots pretty good though; got a bull's eye at 50 yards :P Won't say if it was luck or skill haha really fun rifle to shoot, if only .30 Carbine was more common and cheap. Anyways, good shooting!

  • @NormanMatchem They WOULD be alot more common and cheap... if it wasnt for Obama

  • @LoneWolf051 Except for the fact that Obama doesn't control the goings-on in the Canadian gun market :P Nah over here I think it's more the fact that standard M1 Carbines are in the 'Restricted' class in Canada meaning you need a restricted license. Because of that, M1 Carbines aren't terribly common in Canada, and so there isn't a huge amount of people looking to buy .30 Carbine. Supply and Demand. Interested in hearing what kind of changes Obama is making however. Did good with Guantanamo.

  • @NormanMatchem

Obama is continuing indefinite detention without charges, I am a fan of justice and the Constitution, Obama is a slimeball just like Bush.

  • @RyanR3volution Oh, well that sucks. Gotta make the votes count in 2013 then I suppose, eh.

  • @NormanMatchem

Ron Paul or someone else who believes in the Constitution. We are not screwing around this election, we need to fight for our freedom. People like Sarah Palin, Romney, Obama, and so on don't understand or don't want to understand the Constitution. We have to remember that the 2nd amendment is a natural right, not given by gov.

  • @RyanR3volution It's a constitutional right, and they were given to limit the power of the government. It's that simple, the 2nd ammendment is there to allow citizens the ability to defend themselves and their way of life. Something like that I gather.

  • @NormanMatchem

I agree, but don't let anyone tell you they were given a right. Rights are natural, they come from being alive, they are not given by governments or constitutions, they come from nature. The founders did not wait for a 2nd amendment to shoot the brits. The 2nd amendment is merely the recognition of the natural right to defend oneself from tyranny. Free people are armed, slaves are not.

Freedom is the whole issue here. The US gov infringes on personal freedom to much.

  • @NormanMatchem His "changes" did alot of good... he shot down re-importing 1.2 million M1 Garand Rifles and Carbines from South Korea... reason being "they could be used for terrorism due to high-capacity magazines and military specs"... Keeping in mind if the guns were imported, they'd have to be sold only to people who can legally own a gun by background FBI standards... so when did law-abiding citizens become "terrorists". I can go to the local pawn shop and get an AK for way less hassle...

  • @NormanMatchem The bill that would have allowed those firearms to be purchased by Americans like myself who wish to practice shooting, and preserve our history by collecting firearms of ww2... The bill made it through 13 different steps of signing before it was shot down during the 14'th and final step... OBAMAS DESK. When asked why he shot it down, questions were reverted to the ATF, who reverted it to customs, who reverted it to the ATF, then back to the president. PASSING THE BUCK...

  • @ChrsGuit Are they really WW2? Production of M1 rifles continued into the mid to late 50s didn't it, until it was replaced by the M14 in 1957. Either way, you just can't beat a Garand; Obama was a moron for shooting down the bill. I got an M1 rifle just a few months ago, serials put it at Dec 1941. I'll do all I can to make this piece of history, as with all the others in my safes, last longer than I do. History should be preserved and never forgotton, otherwise we'll be doomed to repeat it, eh.

  • @NormanMatchem The Garand was developed through the late 20s into the 30's. It was adopted as the US service Rifle .30 cal in 1937. It served from WW2 through Korea, and for mostly training purposes into Early vietnam. I have a Springfield Armory Garand from 1955 that is mostly all original. Production ceased in 1957 at a little over 6.1 million rifles. My serial Number is 5.84million so it's in the home stretch for Garand Production. Yes, it's unfortunate Those M1's cant come home to cmp.org

  • @ChrsGuit Yup, mine is Springfield too, serial in the 420,000s. I actually seen one for sale recently that had a serial around 2XX I think. How's that for early production? lol Had a big price tag on it naturally, not sure if anyone bought it yet. Got a nice 1942 Bandolier for the M1 though, holds 10 clips, so 80 rounds of .30-06. I look forward to filling it up with Mk.2 ball spec reloaded cartridges. Only the best for such a historic rifle designed by fellow Canadian John C Garand :)

  • how much does .30 Carbine cost?

  • Man, where do you get all these wonderful toys!?

  • nazi zombies

  • do you know any high quality high cap magazines for m1 carbines?

    thanks

  • @jigglejack100 GI surplus 30 rounders are about all that's worth buying. Steer clear of reproduction 30 rounders.

  • @DrakeGmbH can you tell me the website to get one?

  • @jigglejack100 I don't know any off the top of my head. I've got two 30 rounders I picked up locally. I always shoot with the 15 rounders, though.

  • @DrakeGmbH is the M1A1 Carbine or is it just called the M1 Carbine sometimes?

  • @jcodym13 The M1A1 is an M1 Carbine with a side folding stock.

  • @DrakeGmbH oh yea where the stock is just 2 metal tubes and for the butt its just a half-circle like shape?

  • @jcodym13 Sounds like you may be describing the telescoping stock on the Iver Johnson carbines. Those were for the civilian market. The M1A1 Carbine is a different design but it's easier see the differences if you look up a 'M1A1 Carbine' on Google. If that's what you were thinking of, look up 'Iver Johnson M1 Carbine Telescoping Stock' to see that oddball design.

  • @jcodym13 The Carbine with the wooden "regular" rifle stock is the M1. The M1(A1) is as Drake said, has a folding metal wire stock used by American paratroops in Europe.

  • SOG Likes to carry these, one handed........

  • 0:24 AHA western song

  • You have some nice toys.

  • I owned one of these and stupidly sold it. Light ,accurate and easy to shoot.

  • Ricochet, watch out!

  • The M1 Garand is a full-blown battle rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The M1 Carbine is much lighter and handier, but has a bad reputation for "poor stopping power" when full metal jacketed bullets were used. With jacketed soft point ammo, they're more than capable of handling threats out to 100 yards or so.

  • are you a World at war black ops modern warfare 2 gun sound effect person?

  • @xavierava316 I'm not sure what you're trying to ask here.

  • @DrakeGmbH

He wants to know if your one of the people that shoots guns, then records them to be used in video games (idiotic question in my opinion)

  • @Robaaaayy Thanks for translating. Given the rather mediocre quality of the microphones in my cameras and the lack of a proper studio to capture clean sound effects - I doubt I would be a good candidate for that.

  • @DrakeGmbH Their Video Games that use these guns in them.. little children, that's all. :)

  • @DrakeGmbH Well hell indeed it did sound like the M1 Carbine in World at War at 0:18

  • @xavierava316 I really doubt IW or Treyarch record the sounds of actual firearms. COD sounds like a cartoon.

  • @phgHunter Yeah, and with the crappy muddly, oversaturated graphics, it LOOKS like a cartoon too! Anyways mostly the realistic games have real sounds, like BIA and FH2.

  • @LoneWolf051 Have you heard Battlefield Bad Company 2? The sound design in that game is amazing.

  • I love this gun! Ive got one with a 30 round mag and a tapco red dot on it. Perfect woods rifle, will drop just about anything you want it to!

  • whoa... ricochet!

  • i like your videos ill subscribe if you put a mp40 and k98 videos

  • that got silencer

  • @MegaJoel17 I've never seen a purpose-built suppressor for an M1 Carbine.

  • @DrakeGmbH One weapon fixes that problem. DeLisle Carbine.

  • @B29Bomber Not exactly - it's a completely different animal. Large difference in maximum range and rate of fire.

The M1 Carbine fires a supersonic cartridge - 110gr @ 1900 fps. It is a semiautomatic weapon with a 18" barrel, feeding from a 15 round or 30 round detachable double stack box magazine.

The DeLisle carbine fires a subsonic cartridge - 230gr @ 850 fps. It's a bolt action weapon with a 8 1/4" barrel, feeding from a 7 round detachable single stack box magazine.

  • @MegaJoel17

Silencing a semi auto isn't possible anyway, I think.

  • @wowrazzor your retarded

  • @rudybeatskcazm7

You're*. Plus, the noise produced by the action can't be reduced.

  • dude the sound comes out of the muzzle

  • Nice shots.

  • I have shot this kind of gun before its a GREAT gun its not that hard to shoot and not much kick back I`ve only shot the shorter clip that is like super tiny

  • @InvisableNinja123 Dude, it's not a Garand. It uses a detatchable box magazine. Not a clip.

  • love this guys videos they are short and to the point

  • Ive mever heard a ricochet clearly but it sounds like a cartoon.

  • Yo the stripper clip you used to load the mag is fucking awesome.

  • @VinnyS914 Kudos for the use of correct terminology. I really get irritated when someone calls a magazine a "clip". My respons is "You're carrying a Glock, not a Garand; so quit calling your mag a clip". It's a minor thing, but it gets irritating after a while.

  • @RaderizDorret I live in NY the last complaint I have about a magazine is what its called.

  • @VinnyS914 It's more of a peeve of mine, but it's not nearly as bad as all the myths I have to stomach on a daily basis when it comes to firearms. From "stopping power" to "my (insert cheap manufacturer with poor rep here) is better than a name brand for less money". Hell, I created this youtube account just so I can try to argue against the myths and try to get some actual information out there,

  • @RaderizDorret Stopping power? Uh oh. A year ago I talked bout the good& bad of a 9mm, more bad than good, yeah a LOTTA GUYS got offended. 9mm might be alright ith 17+1 but if you have like a 6 round mag you might as well go up on the caliber.

  • @VinnyS914 Well I'll admit I'm a fan of the 9mm. It's effetive enough to get the job done, easy to shoot, and less expensive than the .40 S&W or .45 ACP.Everything is a compromise: with a 9mm you have a smaller, lighter recoiling weapon, but against some barriers, such as window glass, the lager rounds tend to be more effective. In the grand scheme of things, however, "stopping power" among service caliber pistols is like a bunch of army privates arguing over rank.

  • @VinnyS914 That all depends on what is good for a given person's situation. If restricted to 10 rounds, a larger caliber like .45 ACP is very attractive. However most people have a hard enough time shooting a 9mm so giving them a harder recoiling weapon that is more difficult to shoot at speed is going to cause more harm than good.

  • where did u find your ammo? & wut grain is it 110

  • @LPATRON19 Yes, 110gr FMJ. I've been shooting Remington and Federal ammo since I can find it locally.

  • @DrakeGmbH thanx bro. i needed to kno that bcuz my dad got 1 n we needed to kno the proper ammo

  • so where do you buy your weapons, online or over the counter

  • @kyuubinaruto222 Both - wherever I happen to find what I'm looking for.

  • Comment removed

  • @hellboy0o Nothing in common with the Garand.

  • @DrakeGmbH ic well thanks for the info

  • Hmm... I see the bullets have rounded tips. How does this ammo behave compared to the usual 7.62? I'm thinking it doesent have the same range or penetration?

  • that was a legit ricochet at the end

  • dude i just watched all your videos why dont you ever go full auto?

  • @gravedigr12 Maybe because not many of the weapons he films have that capability. A standard M1 Carbine most certainly isn't fully auto capable. The M2, however, is.

  • @ApurtureSci ok i apericate you telling me this and not putting me down

  • @gravedigr12 Thats OK, never mind helping someone out!

  • @controversyking For strictly range duty, either will work, but I feel the edge goes to the Garand for ammo availablity: just about every place that has gun supplies stocks .30-06. The real bitch will be finding the en bloc clips (per a relative who owns a couple rack grade Garands), but I think the CMP and other milsurp sources sell them.

  • @controversyking What do you intend to do with it? I respect both weapons, but they're very different in terms of capability.

  • @controversyking The M1 Garand is a full-blown battle rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The M1 Carbine is much lighter and handier, but has a bad reputation for "poor stopping power" when full metal jacketed bullets were used. With jacketed soft point ammo, they're more than capable of handling threats out to 100 yards or so.

  • Are you sure that's really a 1944 Carbine? The bayonet lug was only added towards the very end of the war.

  • @John234pwns All the carbines in the US arsenal were updated with adjustable rear sights (replacing the two-position flip sight), rotating safety (replacing the pushbutton) and bayonet lug (replacing the barrel band).

  • @DrakeGmbH Ah, I see. But the receiver markings and all indicate 1944 vintage?

  • @John234pwns According to the serial number on the receiver at least. Very uncommon to find them without the updated parts as it was a service-wide work order to update the older carbines to the new standard.
