She is on point but you know how hollywood is, they want the halle berry and jessica alba looking girls. Vivica got a nose job just like the rest of them and she still not gettin no exposure. She had the vocal chops to make it in the industry but I think it's because of her management team not fully marketing her well and it might be shallow to say this but looks may have been an influence. If I remember the r&b teen singers from the early and mid '90s, they were Monica, Aaliyah and Brandy. They were marketed very well and they were....thin. Thin and they had a certain girlish face on them. Countess looks older than her age. Sad.

I have a lot of singers in my family and my Aunt, beautiful woman, with superb vocal ability , was denied because she was overweight...that was in the 90's so, I'm not sure why you think it's ok for you to say flat out, I'm wrong.In addition, there are countless examples of artists in the 90's that suffered this same fate...Faith Evans, Kelly Price...food for thought.

I am a huge Countess Vaughn fan (from her years as Kim on "Moesha" & "The Parkers". I've always thought she had a magnificient voice. I hate to say it, but this is the perfect jam to play at wedding reception! Also, I don't believe there was ever any true rivalry between her and Brandy, that was just an arguement that was overblown by the media. Still, even though this "Countess" album was highly underrated, it's still a #1 hit in my heart. You go Miss Leo (her astrology sign).!!!!!!

Why haven't she released an album yet? She can sing I used to hear her sing on Moesha. If Jamie Foxx can come out with an album and make it big so can she. I noticed there are alot of actress/actors that can sing. Tisha Campbell-Martin, Tachina Arnold, Jasmine Guy, Jada Pinket-Smith, Jamie Foxx, Terrance Howard, Wayne Brady, Eddie Murphy, and others.

I'm not surprised there was a feud between them back in the Moesha days. Countess had the voice, personality, and acting skills to be in Brandy's shoes. Since Brandy was THE GIRL at the time, that left no room for people to really feel Countess....I can imagine the tension they probably had.

Exactly. A LOT of good singers don't make it big but the funny thing is that sometimes those who aren't as good are today's "stars". Another thing is, looks has a lot to do in terms of getting a person in the doors into the music industry. It's all about marketability. Quite sad really.
