Actually Gilmour looks a bit uncomfortable at the start - it doesn't matter how many times you appear live and if you get nervous or not, there at times playing live when for no explicable reason you can get shaky. Playing in front of this many people and to be instantly going into a lead vocal and guitar solo that are as well known as anything in the collective consciousness could throw anyone.

Really strange feelings on watching this - on the one hand it's a triumph, on the other I've never seen Gilmour play worse (in Gilmour terms, I hasten to add - he's still the best slow-temp shredder ever). You can almost see the conflict in his face, he must have said to himself that he would never play with Waters again, and then again after Live8. And Rog should have played bass, it looks a bit like uncle-karaoke at a wedding.

After visiting the show I can say for sure that it looks modern, it looks daily (true) and this is rock.
