Heath had some of the stiffest competition in PRIDE, he fought Fedor, Big Nog (3x I believe), Kerr, Vitor, Igor, and Erickson. Dude is tough as nails and I hope he gets back into contention.

Coming into his first fight in the UFC against Jake O' Brien, I don't think he was prepared. Second fight was against Brad Imes and Heath won by Decision, almost beat Noguiera. Upsets Cheick Kongo, and gets beat by Brock Lesnar. He still has awesome potential, needs more physical training because he already has the pure no quit fighter mentality. He wins by decision and loses by decision I want to see him finish a fight by KO or SUB.
It's like the Heath Herring is a shell of his former self. In Pride and other places you saw well rounded skills, could actually defend a takedown, in the UFC he's pretty one dimensional. Heath's biggest weapon of knees to the head of a downed opponent are banned in the UFC. The move that allowed him to beat mark kerr and others. I'm interested to see how he comes back from that ass whooping Brock Lesnar gave to him. Can he ressurrect his career, we'll know soon enough

I'm not going to argue with you there about going with Lesnar...the only one who's survived so far is Mir and that was him catching Lesnar in a sneaky sub. Brock had a full mount -several- times with tremendous ease, and if he had a ground and pound game, he'd have had Heath pretty much dead to rights.

I don't know if you watch Heath Herring fight, but he gives up mounts pretty easily because he's notorious for rolling out of them. Brock is being given all the breaks the UFC can throw at him, and he was trash last match. Will a few months totally turn him around? I doubt it.

It's like the Heath Herring is a shell of his former self. In Pride and other places you saw well rounded skills, could actually defend a takedown, in the UFC he's pretty one dimensional. Heath's biggest weapon of knees to the head of a downed opponent are banned in the UFC. The move that allowed him to beat mark kerr and others. I'm interested to see how he comes back from that ass whooping Brock Lesnar gave to him. Can he ressurrect his career, we'll know soon enough

He'll be fine! Not too many people are going to go three rounds with Brock Lesnar. Give the dude some credit he beat Kongo. And the only fight he's had since then is lesnar. He has trained harder since kongo. I think his best days are going to be comming up. I'm not going to argue with you there about going with Lesnar...the only one who's survived so far is Mir and that was him catching Lesnar in a sneaky sub. What I was getting at is that since his time in the UFC...he hasn't looked the same. He did beat Imes, Kongo in a very back and forth fight and he almost stopped Minitauro. Unfortunately I read he's out of UFC 99 due to injury so we'll have to wait and see what he does when comes back. IF Shogun can return to PRIDE form, then Herring can.

Heath will be out for 6 months or so because the 'one punch' broke his orbital bone and the knees to the kidneys probably don't make Heath's day any better.
Brock's inexperienced, and while it showed the whole fight, he also learned from his loss to Frank Mir and took control of the fight and didn't try to rush anything.
Brock had a full mount -several- times with tremendous ease, and if he had a ground and pound game, he'd have had Heath pretty much dead to rights.

I don't know if you watch Heath Herring fight, but he gives up mounts pretty easily because he's notorious for rolling out of them. Had I not been such a big Herring fan the fight would have been rather boring after the first round. Eh, nobody's willing to give Herring any credit for his past performances in Pride, and the adjustment period to the UFC rule set he needed to go through. (He had quality fights in Pride.) He's largely being pitted against Brock because the UFC views Herring as a tomato can, just like they viewed Mir.
Brock is being given all the breaks the UFC can throw at him, and he was trash last match. Will a few months totally turn him around? I doubt it.

exciting fighter to watch, i was really impressed with his previous opponents and his fedor comeback, even though the fight was stopped. as far as brock/herring goes, i think brock should have chosen an easier opponent for his 3rd fight. mir = submission master, so they thought theyd match brock up with a vicious striker instead, but i dont think thatll end well for brock. unless he overwhelms with an initial barrage, herring's gonna tire him and then GNP the fuck out of him. but you never know.

Brock Lesnar comes in to over confident and thats how he got caught in a foot lock with Mir. Heath Herring is a Dominant Fighter and he will destroy Lesnar if he comes in like he did with Mir. It will be a good fight, but Heath Herring will win.

dont know. i agree brock is physically stronger, but heath is a very strong guy as well. and he can kick much better than brock too. plus he has so much experience by now

granted Herrings not the best fighter in the world but he has so much heart.excellent highlight video.I watch this everyday before I train.Even if I don't feel like doing anything,I'm motivated after watching this clip.
