  • Most Servals enjoy water. Sure, some don't, but thats on the individual basis. The natural habitat of the Serval is around river beds and the edge of lakes. Just because his ears are back doesn't mean anything. Servals are not regular house pussycats. Serval behavior is not the same as your wiw kitteh at home. When you're cat hisses and bends its back, it probably means back off. with a Serval, it could mean that or it wants to play. Point is, he looks like he's having fun. Just enjoy the video.

  • @staringdowna45 Sorry, thats a female. Replace the he and his with her and she. Don't know why I put he. Oh well, my point remains vaild. Cute cat swimming. Watch and be happy. Or be jealous like me.

  • Poor little kitten!!

  • @TheAdela7 why is it poor?

  • @TheAdela7 why is it little?

  • Just keep swimming just keep swimming

  • haha his/her ears are so big<3

  • ...is Mitch single?

  • totuer

  • I doubt about whether this serval loved to swim or not. They may live near river beds, like @xkakax tries to make us believe. But please, let's not forget the main body language of all cats. I've seen a Turkish Van swimming in the pool WITHOUT flattening his ears. So why does this kit flat his ears? He didn't like it obviously. Servals in general may like water, but every Serval is an individual.

  • WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING!?!?! Why are you pulling the like that! Your probably choking him! dummy

  • @Brivloging ... harnest

  • @Brivloging cant choke harness...

  • Thats mean

  • Tier quelerei

  • servals love the water you guys are retarded their natural habitat is by river beds

  • she was swimming so hard... poor little thing..!! && I hope her claws hurt him when he picked her up..!!!!

  • the several name's Isis, like the goddess?!

  • looks like shes having a bit of trouble keeping her head up..

  • ok let me just make this clear to you RETARDS, you do NOT, leash any animal, while swimming. and tug on it. you sir are a fucking idiot, and i hope you die. i wonder who could even give you a cat like that, you must be fucking stupid.

  • whatever ur an idiot he was right there

  • i hope you fucking drown you fat fuck.

  • My cats name is isis too :D

  • Hopefully that cat spray farts in your dinner.

  • This is sick and cruel, to put it mildly.

  • @MrBEAT454 servals are natural swimmers

  • ok being an owner of a savannah cat i know that the cat was stressed the way the ears are down shows it is clinging to your arm the savannah cat is only swimming to get out of the water but you are just pulling him back they loose ther hair that way and start getting bald spots from the stress not to mention they are very hard to maintain if they have an ear infection they bit hard as hell and are none to kind of having stuff put in there ears its your f1 but i would have done a kiddy pool first

  • @camryclubofcasper its not a savannah cat its a serval and they like water so stfu

  • @xkakax So? If it's a Serval, does it really need to like water? Every animal is an individual, and the way you are trying to convince poeple makes me doubt about what you actually really know.

Have you even paid attention on the way this kit flattens his ears? And no, it's not to prevent the water from going into the ears. This kit obviously didn't like it, not to mention about the fact how quickly he tried to swim to the edge of the swimming pool, if that idiot didn't pull him away.

  • @JaguarsSoul It was 29 seconds of swimming, understand? I give my dog baths that he no doubt doesn't enjoy and its not the end of the world. So what if the was mildy discomforted for half a minute? It's life still goes on perfectly fine, no mental scarring, nothing.

  • @setheries Giving a bath is something else. Taking a cat to the pool against its will is something else altogether. My younger brother never enjoyed bath when he was 3-4, and he cried his ass off when mom did wash him. But when we go to the pool, he always stays on the sidelines, because he simply didn't like water then.

  • @JaguarsSoul My point is stop making such a big deal out of a small thing, so what if the cat was at a small inconvenience for 30 seconds? It's not like the guy is abusing his animal. It probably leads a happy healthy life.

  • @setheries A bath is neccesarry. A swimming pool isn't. And if you really want your cat to go and swim, at least try to give him good experiences with pools. Putting him in the water at once won't help. Petting him, telling him sweet things while you go into the water yourself, showing him that the pool is save is much more better. Or at least let the cat go whenever he tries to swim to the edge.

  • @JaguarsSoul

Servals enjoy the water. I'm sure they've had this cat for quite sometime and that it isn't his first trip to the pool. Learn about the breed before commenting.

  • @JaguarsSoul

My dog flattens his ears when he swims. I have a serval that willingly jumps in our pools and swims with his ears flat back. That doesn't mean anything, stop overreacting.

  • @bturnstyle First of all, a dog is a complete different species that a serval. Secondly, this Serval was a kitten. Water is new, and many newborns from many species are scared of water. I swim with pleasure, but that doesn't make my younger brother from 2 years old any comfortable. The kitten was swimming at the edge, obviously he didn't like the pool at all. You should work on your logic *rolls eyes*

  • Comment removed

  • @JaguarsSoul

It was an example. Main point is that you're over reacting and being a drama queen about it.

*Inserts action here because some people think it makes me looks witty...though that opinion is probably restricted to just myself*

  • @bturnstyle I was only saying the kitty probably didn't like it, and then you came saying that you're bathing your dogs all the time and that it was just for several seconds. You really think I'm not going to react to that? And then the big deal starts.

*rolls eyes even more because I honestly think pointing me to *rolls eyes* will make you feel more adult. And I don't care if you think something completely different*

  • First off it is a harness. You just can't see very well that it goes behind the front legs. Secondly you have no idea and are in no place to make a judgement on whether this cat does or does not like being in the water. If the cat was that freaked out the guy would have gotten scratched to begin with since the cat would have hung on to him for dear life. Clearly the cat has done this before and is not freaking out since it is not trashing around. Get over your judgmental selves.

  • The cat itself is cute. But why is it on a leash in a pool? If anything use a harness! leashes wrench on the cats neck its not fun i an tell you that. But i dont think the cat is really that distressed just probably doesnt like being wrenched on with a leash while trying to get out of the pool.

  • Oh it's just adorable. I wish I had a serval...

  • Lets pull on the leash so kitty cant get out! Some cat owners have no sense, it truly saddens me.

  • i hate leashes...especially for cats

  • Sorry. it seems the animal is forced.

  • You pull on the leash as it's swimming to get out. Retarded.

  • i just dont like that its on a leash.

  • i hate people.

  • @avendeson you idiot! servals like to swim and unlike most cats when their ears are flat that means it happy. also, when they hiss it means they're excited. if the serval was truely upset she could easily attack him.

  • @katejarvis1 If it really liked swimming (in deep water) we'd see more videos of servals and other cats swimming in pools without an owner making them. That said, i'm aware servals and certain cats like water and I don't feel that making the cat swim is as bad as some people make out. A lot of people get a bit hysterical and like to scream animal cruelty at the littlest thing. I'm of the opinion that these people need to get a life and save their rage for those who really are cruel to animals.

  • @BVargas78 I can't say I'd limit the stats of "servals really liking to swim" on the number of youtube videos that go up.

  • @BVargas78 not saying its good for all servals but i'm not sating its cruel

  • You people are idiots. These cats love water. I have one that's half serval, and it's hard to keep her out. She jumps in the tub, and dives in to the ocean at the beach.

And it's very hard to get them to get them to do anything they don't want to do. They are strong, stubborn and can hurt a human a lot if they want. And I would NEVER declaw her.

  • animals are not toys

  • 68 people are jealous that Serval cats, can swim better then them.

  • @kameikomiller - No, 68 people are uncomfortable with the abusive nature of the video.

  • okay, servals like water. If the cat was really freaked about it would have clawed the crap out of the dude when he picked him up. It's not a huge deal. Why don't you all go put your hater comments somewhere else because nobody here's gonna care.

  • @omgkittymew - My dear, looking out for an animal being dragged around a swimming pool WITH A LEASH (try it yourself and I'll bet you'd be begging for one of those "haters" to appear to speak up for YOU) isn't what the word "hate" means.

Where in the world did this lack of understanding of basic language come from? Honey, "hating" would be to come on here and praise the people treating the animal in an abusive manner. Or, are people not allowed to LOVE animals now? Don't answer.

  • Mmmm. I feel like if the cat was really stressed it would have clawed him and thrashed around when he picked her up.

  • @Quantumjiters I think people get servals declawed usually

  • @chizoioioi - declawing any animal is wrong and damaging to the animal. If humans want to keep animals, then they need to learn how to live WITH them and not abuse them to shape them to be "more convenient" for themselves. In other words, if people can't handle the claws of a larger cat then don't keep one. Besides, they're meant to be in the wild anyway. I don't answer replies because there is no need to "argue" them. It's not THAT difficult to figure out anyway.

  • I love it when the whole world tries to tell people how to care for their animals. And I really love when they threaten you with shit they can't possibly make good on, like putting you on a leash, putting you in a pool, what "they" would do if they were there . . . stupid shit like that.

People are gonna do whatever they want with their pets. All the stupid things these assholes say here won't change a damn thing.

  • @KE4RWS - My dear, if you post a video on Youtube, make it PUBLIC, you are EXPECTING anyone to watch it who has access to the channel. If you don't like what people have to say, then change your outlook. The only person who can make your life better is YOU. As for "people are gonna do whatever they want with their pets." Yes, you're absolutely right and that includes abusing them and keeping them when they're meant to be in the wild. You can't have it both ways.

  • youre a fucking piece of shit dude. take the cat off the leash you fucking douchebag before i come put u on a rope and leave you to swim towards nothing.

  • @GoodRiddance7230 - Whilst I wouldn't agree with the language, I support the sentiment. It is horrible to watch this animal writhing around on the end of a leash when it most likely would go for a swim on its own anyway. It's always dullards who want to keep pets - which aren't actually "pets" - to show off for the other dullards of the world. There are plenty out there and as soon as I finish this, I won't be watching anymore.

  • to me it looks like she likes water she just didnt want to go swimming right then, she wasnt totally freaked out but she was definetly upset...im gonna guess she doesnt liek the leash though i know i dont like getting water in my nose and eyes when my freinds pull me around the pool lol

  • lol rednecks...

  • The cat looks scared to death. This is not nice. Take off the leash. Give him a choice. How would you like being thrown into a pool with a leash hanging onto your neck?

  • you're a fucking bastard.

  • I hate the evil cackling in the background.

  • the ears are donn´t normal the cat want not swim

  • @easyteckno

That might just be the cat trying to keep water out of it's ears.

  • Stupid american idiot.

  • @sotel1 yes of course cuz Europeans are so high and mighty, right? haha. My parents are Russian and I love my descent but I find arrogance about nationality or ethnicity illogical and amusing.

  • stupid idiot

  • Show me a study that says it's bad to put them in water. You people don't make any sense, servals don't mind swimming (how do you think they lure fish to the shallows?). The harness would be a good idea in case it didn't know how to swim, he can safely pull it out of the water. Chlorine/salt water can easily be rinsed off, it's an easy way to bathe them.

  • And with a leash, what a numbskull....

  • everyone that watches this video is getting bad vibes for a good reason, we all have a little instinct just like these cats and i think everyone knows when they here these pricks chuckling and not really allowing it to swim in comfotable fashion it 100% justifiable to label these people absolute trash, If your from the SOHK (school of hardknocks) you dont need to wait for 100% proof to make a judgement. fuck these guys and there energy, you know that cat hates them, vote this comment 2 the top

  • @thisgame2 You cannot even fathom the shit I do not give about your comment.

  • @Retrograyed Left the brain at the door ?

  • oh relax everyone...our cat loves the water too...and if you have a deep pool you'll need to teach your kitty to swim, because they will jump in...looks to me like the cat has a good life..

  • they are tourtureing it.... poor baby!!!

  • very nice.. youre cleary an idiot

  • you cant put an animal in chlorinated water you FUCKING IDIOTS>

  • the cat is like...

What the fuck why the shit are you putting me in here get me the fuck out

  • Stupid!

  • The Cat doesn't look thrilled to be in the pool but if you look at the other vids you will see that he doesn't mind much. Mitch wouldn't have a chest left once Isis was picked up if he was THAT freaked out with being in the water . Chlorinated water might not be the best idea but maybe it's a saltwater pool. Servals like the water and in the wild will usually live right next to a river.

  • @lemans455 I've lived and worked for 3 years going on 4 in Southern Africa and I have yet to ever see a Serval swimming. They are around the Okavango Delta most of the year and seem to avoid the water like the plague unless they're chasing something in the shallows, but never deep enough to a point of swimming.

  • @lemans455 Just an FYI - salt-water pools work by turning the salt into chlorine.

  • why are its ears flattened like when a cat is intimidated?

  • @TheWtfkitty i think its ears are flattened so water doesn't get in, after he's lifted out of the water his ears come up

  • mitch is an idiot

  • Your friend Mitch here is a dumbass, and should defiantly never be allowed to 'swim' with your cat ever again.

  • Comment removed

  • jesus christ, the animal is clearly stressed and you're putting it in chlorinated water.

  • @avendesoran stressed my ass noob. you dont know shit about animal behavior

  • @avendesoran i have a salt water ppol which is still bad for their skin but not as bad

  • @avendesoran

    1. Not all pools are chlorinated. (And even if this one is its not going to hurt it unless it uses it as its main source of drinking water)

    2. Serval cats like water.

  • @avendesoran This is pretty much how all cats "look" when they swim, including Turkish cats [who absolutely love water]. If he was distressed, that man's chest would have been torn to pieces. He actually would've fought viciously against him the moment he tried to put him in the water; that's how my cats react when they're within two feet of the bath tub whenever it's time for a weekly wash. XD; Furiously rebellious.

  • @TheJazzyBReal Why do you wash your cats? Cat's are self-cleaning...

  • @carolinajessamine A tongue doesn't get the dirt, oil, or fleas out of their fur. They could be as self-cleaning as they want; it doesn't prevent the filth from accumulating in their fur regardless of where it's from.

  • @avendesoran It's a serval. Servals fucking love water. (seriously) They just cant swim for long on there own they like playing in shallow water. thats the only reason it was going to the side. and why the cat didnt claw the guys face off.

  • cool lol. Was that cat really expensive?
