  • does anyone know what engine that is? i know its an LT1 but what size?

  • @TheLTXCamaro

thats sounds like an Lsx Car might have done a ls swap on it idk tho

  • @NoobSnipeable i just found out on ls1tech, its a twin turbo LT1. putting out around 1050rwhp

  • @TheLTXCamaro Holy crap thats impressive for an lt1 :)

my lil ls6 can barely hit the 400 mark lol

  • @NoobSnipeable yeah believe it or not the LT1 can withstand more boost then an LS1(aluminum block) can. why do you think when people build twin turbo LS1 they use the LSX block(cast iron) and the LT1 block is cast iron. the LT1 block can with stand somewhere around 2000hp before kaboom!

  • Nice run.. crazy fast. What kind of power you putting to the wheels?

  • Is this a modded LT1 or did you drop something else into it?

  • Am pro to our technology, but unfortunately we are not doing something that keep up against those european monsters, I know we can make a camaro faster but the question is how long is gonna last....all we have is the vette ZR1 AND FORD GT and thats it...

  • @elpianistaaltamirano its probably cuz we have regulations in the usa not sure though but there probably is regulations here

  • @elpianistaaltamirano Its not about lasting they can make them last. Its about price. They try to keep prices down. Ford GT was a test to just show what we could do and still cost less.

  • @elpianistaaltamirano zr1 beats the majority of them

  • 5 more races and engine will blow up, usa don't have the european or japan technology

  • @elpianistaaltamirano No but they have shit that works.

  • @elpianistaaltamirano That is not true at all. I am running 700HP through a stock camaro engine and drivetrain (except clutch) I have 33K miles on this setup with tons of racing and beating it up on the street. Its my daily driver and only car. My old SRT4 (dodge neon with turbo) I ran 60K miles on that one at double the factory HP with stock engine (internals, cams and all) that lasted fine. Americans need to stop bad mounthing american products

  • About koenigsegg ccr evolution or bugatti veyron, poor camaro

  • Older camaro going almost as fast as a 458 Italia. Any good car can go really fast with the proper live and care.

  • @RayG707 almost? no ferrari can hit 199 in the mile and they wont for about another 30 years.

  • @onquarter Ferrari 458 Italia does 177mph in the mile.

  • @IXGQ4LifeXI thats way slower

  • @onquarter agreed

  • @onquarter

and you know this from how???

  • @gtocarguy I have one of those general information books from the future like "back to the future" except mine isn't about sports and delorians; it's about ferrari mile trap speeds

  • almost

  • i bet his brakes were on fire haha

  • Congrats being so close to 200 .please let me know cid and internals lsx 7.0 callies ? Or is it just the sickest ls1 ever.

  • @mscottgto it's not an LSx. it's an LT1...

  • does it have a sidecar to haul your huge ball?

  • hahha whyd you get disqualified?

  • 199??? come on MAN

  • the Ford GT-H is in a class of it's own. ran a 269.6 MPH standing mile... of corse, you can't really compare much about the two. 1,500 hp will be able to walk just about anything...

  • theres something to be said about a 200mph 4th gen

  • Roll the windows up

  • @shobney. same problem here!!!

  • i wish i could find a effin upper dash piece that wasnt cracked

  • killer Camaro....i love it.

  • You need to bring it to tx mile! Goliad tx. So i can see it run. That would be bad ass.

  • ive just accumilated a lil poop juice between my cheeks... wish my camaro ran this good. its dead... i still have to revive it even after 3 years. :(

  • 17Psi low boost? wow, I can't imagine whats your high boost, usually low boost is like under 10 psi.

  • is that an LT1 or LS1?

  • good gas mileage...low boost 17psi..so im guessing high boost is around 38 psi... wow

  • @MrJswans no one has a sense of humor anymore.

  • @MrJswans screw the insurance company, if you wreck at 199 YOUR going to be pissed as hell.

  • lets put it this way. you were disqualified because you were too good lol

  • for all of you looking for CRAZY LSX builds, check out Nelson Racing here on YouTube. 2200 HP TT engines with octane on demand systems.

  • I like it

  • it's this easy, if your gonna build to 700 + hp you need to swap blocks not the engine. The aluminum block can withstand up to 700 anything more you need an iron block.

  • @SSCamaroMan345 well 700hp on the ls1 is good i would say, but I have seen and I know its not safe, but Mr.Big on vette forums ran 800 rwhp out of his stock untouched bottom end LS2.... of course there was meth.

  • @SSCamaroMan345 This is incorrect I have a buddy who has an 01 ls1 pushing 889 HP on a dyno at cincy speed. You can go to cincy speed on facebook they have the video proof. And yes it does still have the factory aluminum block bored .010 over with AFR heads.

  • @90dsm1 Well then, I stand corrected. So the LS1 aluminum block can handle up to 900hp, I still wouldn't recommend it but I know now that it is possible. Thanks for the info.

  • Umm let's try not to make up too many numbers here. A 2 or 3 liter 4cylinder car on *45* pounds of boost is absolutely NOWHERE near a 6+liter v8 on 45 lbs. you're looking at 2-3 times the power output on a given motor with a SHITLOAD more stress. 45lbs of boost on a v8 is not realistic.

  • Did you get tech'd at 175 because of no aero or what?

  • That looks like SO much fun !

  • Roasted the tires in second, and through third.

  • how is the supra a lesser car? cause you think your v8's have more hp? how about an mk3 with 1261hp at the wheels. your not the only one that can push ponies...

  • @umbrellaairsoft with that many mods, a camaro engine would be pushing over 3000hp, most likely.

  • @pepene93

...What? Show me *any* street legal Camaro pushing 3000 horsepower dude. Drag cars put out that kind of power, and that's it.

  • @abacacus and that 1261 supra is? doubtful.

  • @pepene93 It probably is actually. A turbo 2JZ is one of the most powerful motors you can run on the street.

I know for a fact that there are plenty of 1000-1200 horsepower Supra's that are street legal.

  • @abacacus think about it logically. an engine with more displacement can more easily run the same amount of power. a camaro engine has close to twice the displacement of a supra engine, and will be able to run the same amount of power with less agressive tuning, which is what could cause a car to not be street legal.

  • @pepene93 Which would be true if both engines were equally efficient.... which they aren't. A 2JZ is a more efficient engine. And, they tend to take a fuck of a lot more boost then most V8's.... some of those cars are pushing 30-40 PSI and not blowing up. Hell, you can make a reliable 800 HP on a stock 2JZ block. Tough little bastards they are.

  • @abacacus i never said you could take a stock lt1 or ls1, and boost it to 1000hp. they only really take about 7psi of boost reliably. but with forged internals, good cam and heads, theyll push a hell of a lot of power.

  • @pepene93

Oh yes they will, great engines. Just not on par with the 2JZ mechanically, more cylinders doesn't always mean more power.

  • @abacacus of course not, neither does more displacement, but when you get into swapping out everything on an engine, displacement starts being more important. everything else can be upgraded. they even have twin cam heads for the ls1.

  • @pepene93

you can upgrade an engines displacement to an extent through boring and stroking. And then, you have boost to consider. Put a Camaro on 30 PSI and it'll make a fuck of a lot of power, but will the engine take to the boost as well as a 2JZ?

  • @abacacus well, sure, but an ls1 is the same block as the ls7, which means itll go to at least 7 liters. i dont see the supra engine going too far over 4 liters. now, the ls1 wont take 30psi of boost stock, but sleeved, it will with no problem. actually, the iron block lt1 might do better. the lsx is iron block, and its supposed to take 45psi

  • @pepene93 I'll believe an l series engine taking 45 PSI when I see it. No one has ever done that on a street car as far as I know, so I'm willing to bet there is a reason for it.

Meanwhile, big turbo Supra are built every day for street use XD

  • @abacacus the aluminum blocks cant, but the lsx block was designed for it. it was designed for the track, but people use it on the street with no problem

  • @pepene93 The LSX sounds like it would be a fun engine then. Any vids of 1200+ dynos, street legal?

  • @abacacus it is. and i dunno, there probly are.

  • i guess this is the reason to throw a TT setup at a camaro

  • :o wow

  • Where is the course at?

  • i dont understand what everyones talking about? whats tech?

  • @halflife103 Every car has to go through a tech inspection. The faster/quicker the car, the more safety equipment it needs. They do the same for 1/4 mile drags. (the following are not accurate) If a car runs a 10.5 sec 1/4 or faster, it needs a 4 point roll bar, 5 point harness and driveshaft loop. 9 secs needs 6 point bar (4 point with door bars) driveshaft loop and trans shield. Again, these are not the actual requirements, but you catch my drift.

  • @stlchucko ooh thanks. i had been wonderinf that for a bit XD

  • WOW that was sweet

  • Still got the Camaro?

  • HAHA! car is so badass, disqualified for pwning the competition...keep on boostin!

  • stock 350?tt

  • And the veyron has 8 more cylinders

  • heh...you could probably cook eggs in 1 minute with how hot the brakes were at the end :p

  • that thing was still squishing down the rear end and lifting the front all the way through the traps. wonder how much over 200 it would do with playing around with fuel/boost/timing etc.

  • @brent440

0 mph more than it could before. First, its had all of said treatments. Second your gears will carry you only so far.

  • @brent440 as far as that t-56 would let it go... i think it would be about 230ish...

  • I can post the time slip for those who disbelieve. Or google "hot rod top speed challenge moran" and click on Hot Rod magazines "LT1 engine bay photo"

  • This fucker is as fast as a Veyron!.

They both trap at 200mph in a standing mile!.

  • @vfIskullangel yea and the veyroin has 2 more turbos figure that one out

  • @thevettedude66 The Veyron traps 200 in the standing mile. This camaro would be next to it if they ran it.

  • @thevettedude66 veyron has aircon, comfy seats and all that bollocks, the veyron was made so fat lazy rich people could experince speed in "style"

  • you deserved to get DQ'D

  • I WOULD HAVE DIsqualified him for no hood pins look at the hood strugle to stay down doing 150+ if that hood gives way at that speed no telling what could happin

  • @slinq dude it was fine get the stick outta your ass

  • hell yea ive always wanted to do that same thing when my kit gets dialed! Was that on maxton mile?

  • wow. this is some of the most epic footage ever recorded....he was shuddering like me at 130 the other day...crosswinds we acting up but thats how come i didnt have the cruise set at 150 that day. this though...that is just ridiculous.......ly awesome.

  • i didnt see no radar gun we just taking your word for it but ya its still fast

  • wow 20.5mpg is like half of what my rx7 drinks =[

  • THATS SO BADASS...

  • pure TITS!

  • wow that's just some scary fucking speed there..! something i have to work my O.C.D out on..otherwise i'll end up dead in my new camaro.. and not bad for someone who really is afraid to die.. pretty shitty huh? stuck between a rock and a hard place lol i had my old R.S. camaro convertable topped at 125 with the top down and that seemed scary enough [:-|

  • man that car was still pulling at the end

  • at least you got disqualified for to much lol ill take that ne day then not enough

  • why was it disqualified

  • "This car was only tech'd for 175mph." probably needed more safety gear or better cage

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Car was disqualified :(

    WHY?

  • possibly safety equipment.

  • "This car was only tech'd for 175mph."

try reading the info about the video before you ask questions.

  • dont be so aggressive. The info's not exactly clear.

Ive never heard of a car being disqual'd for higher speeds.

    Chill out man

  • Im not being aggressive.

He means that the car was only rated for 175mph, so when he went 199, he was disqualified. He dident have the proper safety equipment to go faster then 175mph.

Its the same thing at the strip, every track has slightly different rules, but if you run faster then a certain time, you need a helmet, if you run faster then that you need a roll cage etc etc etc and if you run faster then your car is inspected to do, then you get sent home.

  • well in these types of events, if you pass a certain speed for example if your at 170mph you are in a certain class that requires less safety implements, but if you go over said speed you must have for example a roll cage or whatever and if he didn't have the right equipment then he gets disqualified.

  • thank you

  • lol i didn't see u where arguing with that other guy! hope i didn't take a side... haha i just meant to answer ur question.

  • thats all i wanted mate, to explain the reason as i didnt understand why he was disqualified

  • ah, ok!

  • The car is still an lt1 with almost or just about 1000rwhp. Still had every feature it came with from the factory ps,pb,ac you name it. was also a 6speed. The owner sold the car car but now has a 06-07 z06 twin turbo making I think just over a 1000rwhp on high boost

  • how much horse power in that car

  • no you dont but even if you did this car has MUCH more than 850

  • crankthatdawg,

This car would shit on you and your COBRA'S chest!!!!!!!

  • fuck ford

  • I would race you if you had one you fake fuck.

  • Looks a bit unstable ;-) You need freakin' tractor tires to get traction in a car like that.

  • 200 in a standing mile is really good!!

  • What are the specs on this car? Is this still the LT1 or did you guys swap it for a LSX? But 92gen1Cummins I want to see this so called triple turbo Cummings. Sorry but I don't believe it and I don't think that is efficient at all if it was true.

  • that's how you build a really fun car... is this thing featured anywhere?

  • Very impressive, I guess it finally got traction in 3rd...

  • lextasy is a fucking fag supras are pretty sweet but horsepower wins car shows torque wins drag races, and go fuck your self with the red neck thing i have a triple turbo cummins that will blow that ever your faggot ass is drivin,

  • quickest way to death.

  • will you could die in your lil toyota going to the grocery shop.... but you wouldn't be having fun , would you?

  • noice!!

  • very impressive mate. ignor the immature comments on here! I am a ford person my self! reguardless i respect a car that is so impressive, all the people that badmouth you are kid's that drive 100hp family cars and not over the legal limit to drink!!

  • i must add im impressed you drove 1000 miles there and back!!

  • if japscrap didnt exist gm wouldnt have needed a bailout

  • I'd rather get disqualified and keep it as a sleeper, rather than some over the top jungle gym of tubing. Can't beat the gas mileage from a 6 speed!

  • supras lmao hahaahahah them ugly nija turtle fagget liking cars lmao fuck them the real turbo cars are the grand nationals you fuken fag physclone and thyphone witch are trucks wtf you kno you fuken moron guess you seen that gay ass movie to mutch faf

  • lextasy stfu you fuken fag you have no clue what a nice looking car looks like you fuken fag bitch

  • dude.. supras are ugly as hell and toyotas are p.o.s. cars that hurt our economy. I only drive Chevys and they never give me a problem.

  • itll get over 200mph!!!

  • Doesn't the driver get banned for running that much over what the car is teched for?

  • Yes, he was banned from the event after the first pass. Because the car had no areo modifications the event tech told him that he should turn up the boost because it "probably" wouldn't hit the 175mph mark. With still some room to go it made the 199mph pass with ease. The car was disqualified and the results did not end up in Hot Rod.

  • wait what i dont understand?

  • i know that im gonna sound dumb here, but the car was disqualified for running too fast and because there were no aero mods to help the car stabilize at that speed?

  • come on... your telling me a "world class" driver doesnt know how to pedal the tech tests? well regardless... that is sad he got banned

  • It was the first time ever that this person ran a timed standing mile. The person running the event told him it was his opinion it wouldn't hit the tech'ed speed of 175. You are allowed a variance, but it went too fast for the safety equipment. He wasn't thrilled that he drove 1000 miles for one pass.

  • @boostnation And then people ask "what's the point of street racing? Just go to a track!"

lol. Talking about looking at it the wrong way.

  • @boostnation im sorry but i dont understand why he got disqualified.for goin to fast or was not safe to do it?

  • @pickalock865 The car did not meet the safety tech requirements to run that fast. It was predicted to run a little slower (175-ish)

  • @boostnation dod yall not have any form of gps so he could know how fast he was goin as to not go to fast even though no one has time to look at the spedo at that speed

  • @bobwatters This was a timed event setup by Hot Rod Magazine.

  • @bobwatters why does that mean u cant look at a gps or set a warning so u dont break the 178 mark and get kicked out after one pass

  • Did the supra drive 1,000 miles to get there and require zero modifications to run "40" miles per hour faster?

  • Holy crap a reliable chevy, that is amazing!!!

  • Chevys are super reliable.. There like whores you gotta rape them and treat them like shit and thyell stick around... About the supra i dont believe it

  • @boostnation probably could of drove there.

  • @boostnation hahahaha

  • @boostnation

LOL. And may I ask WHY you got disqualified? So you can't really even say you ran the 199. Or wait, do you have the certificate? And the car is bone stock right?

Yeah fuck Supras!!! Camaro and Mustang owners are dickheads.

  • @boostnation It would be a waste of fuel. As of now, the Supra is the better competitor. Try again loser.

  • @Fastspoolsupra fuck supras

  • @ilikebooty00 You're such a website warrior.

  • @Fastspoolsupra you seem to be the only one here with a large vagina, stop defending the lesser car, camaro's and other V8 american cars are way more capable for much less. enough said.

  • @crowbarmaster You are SOO COOOLLLL

  • @crowbarmaster @Fastspoolsupra they are both good cars you guys need to get over yourselves. all cars are at least good. some better then others if you were a true car enthusiast you would understand that

  • @umbrellaairsoft I don't believe I ever said a supra was a bad car, but if I recall right they cost more stock than a camaro, have less stock power, and handles about the same, and this race didn't even require that. all sports cars have their goods and bads, for this it would seem the supra has more bads. if he built the car up he could have unlocked that engine and really did some damage.

  • @umbrellaairsoft ya ur right but also if both the camaro and supra were stock the camaro would kick its ass i no that cause mine kick a supras ass and im talin bout the z28 modle but there both nice cars it just depends witch u prefer i recamend the camaro

  • @NICKSmyNAMEbitch eh, if it was the turbo supra, i dont think a z28 would take it. if were talking lt1 here, the supra has 45hp on it (at least rated), and i think its a bit lighter.

  • i have a 94 Z28 i had it since 1996! what is the best turbo system for it? i looked at STS
