This is great looking footage! That 200T film stock is some amazing stuff. Where and how did you get the 16:9 aspect ratio? Was that cropped during the transfer? I'm going to be shooting 200T next week both inside, outside and mixed. My goal is to achieve perfect color balance outside and inside. Then mix the pale blue color shining through the windows with the complementary inside. First attempt at mixing color temperatures while maintaining control of them. Don't see my footage? I failed.
This film looks fantastic! I'm not sure what you mean by a notch hack,.. but the 85 balances this stock beautifully when you've got the correct exposure,..which you had nailed all the way through this short piece. I've yet to see some Beaulieu footage that looks worth a damn probably because of the shutter speed at 24fps. Took me some time and a lot of figuring but I think I got it nailed. Look for some of my footage next month using this 200T and also the 500T. Great looking stuff!
Man this is great looking footage. You can't go wrong with a Canon 814 or 1014XL-S. The 85 worked perfect for color compensation and saturation was awesome. When you say "notch hack" are you referring to the automatic ASA reading of the film cartridge with the use of those tiny pins in the camera. Did you use them or override them? Great looking stuff. Can't wait to post my footage next month.
i plan on getting a 814 or 1014 (very similar) and i want to know if i will need to do this too.
also i would like your opinion on stocks. i plan on filming a movie that will be inside with light, inside dark, and outside daylight. is there one film stock that will work for all of these. or should i use different ones.
i have lots online about stocks but i want opinions from real people.
do different stocks make scenes look noticably different?
Just kidding, definitely not a serious inquiry, I am sure you are familiar with the foreign term of which your group name is a letter apart from, neat video btw.
Yes i know that. It´s the famous swedish irnony :P.. We tried to figure out wath a pretentious smaltown 70-1980´s swedish arthouse/Art-group would cale them self......And team fagott was born..
Actually the 16:9 is faked with black bars made in the (premiere)editing. I´ve herd about 16:9 hardware hacks for s8, but i have no idea how it works, but it sounds cool. Some s8 have 16:9 built in like Beaulieu 9008 Pro 16:9.
Great shots! I have the same camera. Can you tell me more about the notch hack on this stock? I'd greatly appreciate it and would love to test the same.
Thanks! Andec filmtechnic in berlin did the processing. 814az is nice. try to find the 814 az Electronic verison. Don´t forget to order 2x 1,3v battery for the lightmeter (*not* 1.5v)from Wincel.Remember the colurs depends more on the filmtype than the camera itself. /Regards!

when using differently sensitive stocks like 200T or 500T will the built in light meter adjust to the different stock?
iliketea333 3 years ago
Well duno if it works perfect, but it works fine for me using the built in 85.

is this filter an 85 or 85B?
i must know because i realy like the look of your film
iliketea333 3 years ago
It is built in 85. Kodak recomends 85B but this work fine also.

What if they were? Who really cares?

That was in response to the question of whether or not they were homosexuals.

Hey, really great footage. I just bought a Canon 814 az. How did you get the 16:9 aspect ratio? Are you using a special lense?
