@bloodmercs So what - Skoda lost their poor image many years ago. Skoda have been VW owned for the past 20 years.They now build world class cars - infact, the Superb Estate has beaten the E-Class Estate in a recent test, and the superb hatch walked all over the C-Class. No wonder 3 seperate magazines have named Skoda as manufacturer of the year.

@skorob2010 Hi , couldnt agree with you more on your facts . I started out with a 1.9D felicia estate which i bought new in 1997. Very good economical car 55+mpg and hardly any problems ,then moved on to a 52 plate fabia with 100ps tdi which was very quick for this type of car . Luckily in 2006 i purchased a new 2006 plate electric blue vrs octavia which i had rechipped and mapped up by skoda/vw to around 250bhp at wheels . It is an awesome motor and yes it feels better built than a VW itself .

The badge snobbery that exists is totally unacceptable and unjustified since VW/ took over .

@skorob2010 The thing that annoys myself most is the amont of badge snobbery that still exists which i will quite happily put down to sheer ignorance . My octavia being remapped and chipped has been tracktimed at 6.4 seconds standing start . Much to the disgust of many a BMW or SUBARU driver or people of that genre who think that this car is a sheep in wolves clothing as they have attempted to cut me off in narrowing lanes LOL . The other good thing i like is that driving average i get 35-40mpg

@skorob2010 I dont know if there are any plans for a 4x4 vrs octavia in the pipeline ,that would certainly be worth a testdrive but i suppose the £400 quid roadtax might put a lot of people off . One other thing is that twat PININ500 that keeps slagging us all off on the fabia official channel . For someone that hates these cars so badly he does a lot of posting . I can only think that a VRS has pissed all over his car or that maybe he got run over by a skoda leaving him mentally disturbed LOL .
