Usually to get a gold star you have to get 1.5 stars over 5 so about 6.5 stars, so that means a lot of star power and usually 97%-100% on most songs in expert. I have got 100% on some songs and still didnt get gold stars on expert.

Couldn't be any more wrong... they can only be obtained on expert, and you have to obtain a certain score. Usually I find it's somewhere around 1.5x the score it takes you to get 5 stars.

I can guess the only way to get gold stars is to:

1. Go on Expert.

2. Do well enough--98 to 100% is what I think gets gold stars--to get gold stars.

Really your percentage doesnt have as much to do with getting gold stars as much as people think. It's your score. Like when I play drums one time I got gold stars with like 98% but didn't get it with 99% it's all about when you miss notes and when you use your energy
