Luv anything Tommy does, but this is truly beautiful. His talent has no limits! Loved him from Styx, luved the heck out of him in Damned Yankees, etc. BUT, what a unique side to such a beautiful talent. Wish he'd come thru SW Va. :)
Not many Styx fans know that Tommy was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. His parents listened to The Opry on the radio, which was a big influence on him as a kid. As a musician who has followed his Styx career since 1976, not surprised how good this CD is. Tommy has the talent to play any style of music and do it well!!
usually not into this genre of music - but this easy to listen to - I agree leave the Dennis thing alone it's old news- Styx is better off without him.
Get over the Shaw and De Young thing....We are talking about artists that are as human as we are,,,I've seen Styx with and without De Young and they are still great, just a little different. I would bet they are ALL tired of dwelling on something that occured many years ago. Lets just enjoy what all of these amazing artists are doing now. Can you imagine someone asking you why one thing happened in your life Every Single Time you were interviewed?
Tommy is so talented. Tommy can sing anything. Very gifted Man. He has so many reasons to be the proudest musician I know of. Thanks for the Tunes Tommy. We love ya.
@TheRabbitsOnTheRun As a musician and Styx fan since the early 70's and will see them a week from today in sunny Myrtle Beach, SC.... I agree. No matter the genre. Talent is talent. You nailed it!
I've been a life long Styx fan, Tommy being my favorite, but I love them all. I am a career musician. I got my musical start playing for my Dad's bluegrass band but my heart was in Rock. I never would have imagined Tommy ever doing a bluegrass record, but in hindsight he has the perfect high tenor bluegrass voice.
@Ahoo3XHooHah97 Ok, where did you get that crap from?!?!? Tommy and Styx are much better off without Broadway Dennis. Pay attention, this is comments for Tommy's solo cd
Tommy's amazing no matter what genre of music he plays. I loved the Shaw/Blades album a few years back with their favorite cover songs on it. Nice job.

Tommy and Dennis, perfect team together on stage but not behind it.... I'd rather see them perform together than beat each other's hell out!!!

Nice sound! Saw Styx on my honeymoon in 1976 with a much younger Tommy Shaw and have loved his work since then.
